When do you do presents on Christmas day?

Just that really?!?!...

Do you do stockings on the bed or by the fireplace - if by the fireplace are the children allowed to go down to just get the stocking and back up to your bed to open it or do you get out of bed and start the present craziness first thing?!?! Grin

What about the rest of the presents?!? Do you just let the kids let rip with everything and open it all first thing or do you space out FC presents and your own presents throughout the day?

We have my in-laws over on Christmas eve and open our gift from them at that time. After they leave, we open our gifts to each other (one each).

On Christmas morning, DD will bring her stocking to our room when she wakes up and opens it on our bed while we pry our eye lids open. After that we move to the living room and open gifts from Santa. We have breakfast after that and have a few hours to relax before heading to my Mom's house for the afternoon. We will open gifts from that side of the family after our noon (more like 1:00 meal)

Stocking in bed, takes a while as everything needs unwrapped. Then I get a shower (I cant function without one!). Then downstairs to open rest. dh gets shower later.

Always make sure there is something in the stocking to keep ds occupied for 30 mins or more until I shower.

No stockings here. FC brings one item, normally unwrapped and left ready to use.

All presents are under the tree or thereabouts.

We come downstairs together and unwrap gifts then; taking turns to open. Normally one me and dh are finished we have a break and dh goes to make breakfast and a drink. Then dd finishes her gifts off

Stockings on Christmas Eve in the evening. Stockings are hung in the hallway downstairs. Main presents on Christmas morning after breakfast, but before getting dressed. We then tend to go out for a long walk and have a lovely dinner in the evening when we get back (but not Christmas dinner).

One present Xmas eve, always pj's so I get nice pictures in the morning in nice pj's.

Up when DD wakes, brush teeth, comb hair (while I make coffee for me and DH) then open everything of Santa and any presents sent from family.

Then off to MIL (next door) for breakfast (still in pjs) open presents from them and give them theirs. The back home dressed and back to MIL for the day.

All presents opened by the tree in the morning. My Nan used to make us wait until after lunch when we were kids and I couldn't bear it so don't make the kids wait.
