what age do you expect dc to do gift giving?

dc don't yet (age 5&8) but am thinking of making them making some crafty things to give to relatives.

Mine are 5 and 4. I was thinking of giving them a few quid this year and getting them to choose presses for close family (siblings, parents, grandparents). However I think your idea of a make is nicer. Maybe a little pocket money toy to give to one another and some nicely packaged home made fudge - or similar - and a home made card to make and give to the grown ups?
