I thought I'd buy a new game we can all play on Christmas day, any recommendations? There will be 10 of us ranging in age from 9 - 65. Nothing where you have to act things out please.

I really recommend Dobble if you haven't got it already. We got it last Christmas and played it for ages. We ranged in age from 6-90 and there were 7 of us. Think it would work just as well with 10.

Dixit is really good fun for all ages. The Odyssey edition is up to 12 players but you can play the normal one (the cards are much prettier imo) just need a few more meeples. Or just get one of the extra decks.
Perudo/Liar's dice is 7 players but works with more, you'll just need a few lot more dice.
6Nimmt is a card game, it plays up to 10 and is awesome.
The Resistance/Avalon is a mafia-type bluffing game. It's a bit marmite

  • I love it but know several people who hate it with a passion Grin

Creationary (Lego building game) was a hit with our family last year.

And Bunny Bunny Moose Moose! Grin
Again, officially up to 6 players but add more pawns and if everyone reads the poem once only it won't take forever.

It's a bit dated now but we once had fun with Scattegories.
