I'm sure you lovely lot can suggest a family game that will keep us all amused on xmas afternoon.

Its got to be suitable for a four year old,a 7 year old and a twelve year, oh and be fun for adults to play.

Pictionary?

UNO extreme in tesco for £18.50 today. Ds had lots of fun paying with grandparents from age of 7. Got very competitive. Good because a game can be one hand of cards or several so time taken can be adjusted to suit.

Pass the Bomb - it's a word game. We played it one NYE - ages ranged from 6 to 86. 4 year old might need a bit of help though.

Also Articulate - once again 4 year old might need some support.

Beetledrive in a much smaller scale.

Pass the bomb is fun. We also play chicken charades which is really funny

We've enjoyed 'Hey thats my Fish' which works for any age as the rules are so simple, but you can really over think it as an adult

Mousie Mousie after a few can get quite silly ...

bluechampagne I remember mousie mousie from my 70's childhood - especially my mother playing after a few too many xmas sherrys !

I'm off to google it to see if its still available.

Hungry Hippos. Everyone loved it, from my daughter who was 5, to my dad, who was 76! (BIL, Daughter and Hubby got very competitive!)

We play a game I read about on here a couple of years ago. All ages love it.
Wrap some cheap presents. Some good and some awful. Put them all in a Christmas sack. Take turns to roll a dice. If you roll a 6 you get to pick a gift from the sack and unwrap it. If you roll a 1 you have to take a gift from someone else.
There's always something that gets passed around loads and other things that everyone wants to get rid of.
It's become a tradition now in our house.
