I started a threa like this a few years ago and got some great suggestions for my Star Wars mad, war hammer playing, comic reading dh. Grin

This year we are skint so are just doing stockings for about £30. So far I've got/ chosen

the authority graphic novel I'm really hoping he doesn't have it already!

this painting station for his models I have given up trying to stem the tide of tiny dwarves etc that keep sneaking into the house! Hmm

And maybe a tshirt. He loves the threadless stuff but I really don't want to spend $9 on a $15 tshirt. So I'm looking for a uk based equivalent.

What is your geeky dh getting this year?

My husband is getting the new dungeons and dragons monster manual, new pokemon 3ds game and forbidden island board game.

I'm very excited by that painting station!

Suddengeekgirl · 30/11/2014 13:27

It's good isn't it! There's some for about £40 that have drawers as well. My only hope for the miniatures is to find enough storage so I don't have to look at them.

My dh is getting a Marvel calendar and a Marvel shower set (joke present), and a book about the history of Westeros.

I'm struggling beyond that because he's such an impulsive spender that anything he wants he has!

Drania · 30/11/2014 13:38

Found him a couple of t-shirts on Amazon, if that's any help! They were about £14 for both. I love Threadless but the shipping costs prevent me from spending as much as I'd like.

Also bought him a Rexel model of the Millennium Falcon and TOS Enterprise.

Thanks for the link to the painting station, I'm ordering that now! for my present from him

BerylStreep · 30/11/2014 13:39

a trackpad and a squirrel nutcracker.

RiverRocks · 30/11/2014 13:39

His big present is a bluray player, then a book of Star Wars paper planes spaceships from Book People, and some t-shirts from Qwertee.com. I've never used threadless, but think they may be similar-unusual t-shirts of various geeky themes?

They have 2 a day, they only stay on for a couple of days so you have to keep an eye. Don't know if they'll have any more Star Wars ones before Christmas but they do other themes (Dr Who/Pokemon/anime/Harry Potter/Half Life(with the robot and the little girl?)/Game of Thrones)

Mines getting a superman t-shirt, lego movie, lotr black gate lego set and some comics he wanted!

We've just found out I'm pregnant and all being well on mat leave for next Xmas so buying him a bit more this year as won't get much next !

AnotherGirlsParadise · 30/11/2014 13:42

Mine's already had his: the limited edition Blu Ray boxset of the old Adam West Batman TV series, with the toy Batmobile and some other bits. The box itself plays the theme tune if you press a button and my 3yo DS has been driving us fucking mental with it.

RiverRocks · 30/11/2014 13:44

Today is Batman villains and dodgy Christmas designs here

fuzzpig · 30/11/2014 14:17

I've got lots of DVDs for him but no idea what else yet!

GraysAnalogy · 30/11/2014 14:20

Some batman memorabilia
I've got him some Spiderman vintage comics
A mini amp for his guitar

fuzzpig · 30/11/2014 14:26

The only superhero DH really likes is silver surfer but there's not so much available beyond mugs and tshirts!

Suddengeekgirl · 30/11/2014 14:55

Oooh I quite like this

robot tshirt

I have got DS the geek box christmas box, but they are sold out - the subscription boxes are £15.99 and you get a tshirt and usually a pop vinyl (they are £10 each) in the box www.mygeekbox.co.uk/home

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 30/11/2014 17:22

Dp is getting a geeky monopoly of some description - Dr who, star wars or marvel.

I've also got him a custom poster of his favourite graphic novel character - John Constantine.

In his stocking - iron man cufflinks and a new stark industries mug, if I can find one. He was heartbroken when DS1 broke his. And a supernatural pop vinyl - either castiel or crowley.

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 30/11/2014 17:26

I love geek box. I'm going to save that for his birthday. Thanks Smile

Dinnerfor1 · 30/11/2014 18:38

Ooo Noteven where did you get the iron Man cufflinks from?

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 30/11/2014 18:47

They were like these ones. Also bought off ebay.

LoathsomeDrab · 30/11/2014 18:50

Last Exit to Nowhere sells amazing t-shirts for film geeks. My DH's entire wardrobe is pretty much made up of LETN t-shirts and hoodies Grin

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 30/11/2014 18:56

Actually I think you can get a t shirt with the arc reactor on for iron man lovers. Dps been hinting at that for a while

Davros · 30/11/2014 19:01

Maybe not quite the same vein, but your men might like something from Philosophy Football (not just football-related)

ItIsntJustAPhase · 30/11/2014 19:08

Love the LETN site, thanks for that.

Mine's only just had his birthday but am considering things like a smart watch (£££).

Would also consider films/film hamper, vouchers to go places like Bletchley Park, National Museum of Computing, Royal Mint, Dr Who exhibition etc.

Geeky socks also good. :-) Tesco or Asda had Dr Who socks recently.

TheWhispersOfTheGods · 30/11/2014 19:12

DH is getting an arc reactor tshirt, a warmachine one if i can find it, a marvel mug set ( from Lidl this week!) and some other bits. I got him some star wars socks which were supposed to be for Christmas, but he ran out of socks amd found them so they are already in use! i like the idea of iron man cufflinks, might pick some up too!

I'm also going to get him an armband thingy for his airsoft kit and paint it, possibly with the Gallente insignia from Eve Online (his other wife Hmm )

CoffeeandNumbers · 30/11/2014 19:14

Google cardboard (suggested in a similar thread last month) some teeshirts from dr jays (he's an aging wigga) and a remote control spy quadcopter (?!)
