Hello All,

I need your recommendations!

I'm trying to find some interesting non-fiction books for my 3 yo DS. I've already bought every one about cars and machines I could find in previous years, so I'm looking for something a bit different.

I don't mind if your recommendations are for older children, as we can still look at the pictures together.

Thanks in advance!

We've got the DK Animal encyclopedia. It's around £5 on amazon, will try to link for you

it's actually only £3.60 at the moment. My dc are 2 and 4 and love this book.

My three year old loves his how things work book, usborne I think? I've also been recommended the 1001 books by them (1001 fish etc)

There's a wall book about the history of earth (how on earth?) Which looks great and got good reviews. If he like trains then mine was obsessed by the Thomas Haynes manual when we got it from the library.

Also the you choose and imagine books are great for encouraging conversation. Not exactly non fiction but not fiction either!

You can get some really gorgeous pop up / lift the flap dinosaur books.

Non-fiction with interesting facts etc but with added entertainment from the interactive element of them.
