I have ended up with a young man, who I only know to say, 'Hello' to in the corridor. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't drink. Budget is a fiver - what on earth do I buy? Arghhhh - usually I really enjoy choosing a gift but this year, I'm stumped.

I think ds's secret Santa could rival OP's for the title of worst ever as he has his ex girlfriend's mother Grin They work together and introduced ds to her dd HmmThe break up was messy but ds and colleague have maintained an amicable professional relationship. So suggestions for female, late forties likes keeping fit and eating out and is quite reserved and very efficient. Budget is £10 and as it will probably be down to me to buy it and wrap it something online would be great.

The key ring phone charger or novelty USB would be my choice

Dh has a magnetic lamp ( battery) he loves and he isa health freak

A gift card for ticketmaster so he can have a bit of money off a gig or show or event that'll be his choice.

The trouble with nuts is recipient could have an allergy or a family member could.

I think the key ring phone charger sounds great!

For fitness nuts, if they run I have learned from my husband that there are all sorts of useless tat essential bits of kit you could get from Sweatshop or a similar chain.

Wilkos have a selection of 3 for 2 gifts. I got my secret Santa some man soap, a tin of playing cards and a grow your own chili plant for a fiver the lot.

My brother is the same age and also a bit of a health freak, but he doesn't worry about healthy eating over Christmas and is always delighted to receive nice food.

Last year, in his secret Santa, he received a Thornton's chocolate Santa with his name on, and the year before he got a giant gummy bear - both big hits.

I think food is the way to go if you don't know him and are limited to a fiver.
