Thought it might be nice to have a separate thread here :) Let the lightening clicking begin Grin

OP posts:

I shall come back to the infinity debate in a mo.

DD3 is desperate for a "tummy stuffer" its on her list. She has huggleuppit and all the other bits from the same "range"....

I think £23 is still too much. Yes or know?

Tunna · 25/11/2014 10:42

And I spelt your name wrong Blush [ blush]

bobkate · 25/11/2014 10:43

Okay, thanks Edwinia Smile

Tortoise · 25/11/2014 10:53

Are they giant tummy stuffers? Normal ones are around £16.99 in Argos. DD1 wants the monkey one.

EdwiniasRevenge · 25/11/2014 10:58

Yes it is the giant ladybird one.

I'm not sure I want a standard one let alone a giant one. Apparently it is big enough to holf a duvet! But the normal ones get rubbish reviews for size...only 7% gone with an hour to go I suspect this will return later in the week....

Stokey · 25/11/2014 11:24

Does anyone know what those Magic moment Princess things are? Is it just a background scene? Probably being dumb...

ouryve · 25/11/2014 11:27

Those Angry birds things were dirt cheap in Wilko, as well - I noticed there's a waitlist for them.

PandasRock · 25/11/2014 11:27

I was wondering about the princess's scenes too. The description says 'add princess figures to play' but one of them (maybe Snow White?) seems to have some bits and pieces shown - cardboard type figures, I think. It's confusing.

I'm deliberating about the Belle set, but not if I have to add in figures too.

PreMadonna · 25/11/2014 11:31

looks like just cardboard cutout scenery.

babyfedleaning · 25/11/2014 11:34

Yay! Nothern Exposure boxset! v happy!

Scaredycat3000 · 25/11/2014 11:37

I'm feeling very disillusioned with Amazon at the moment. The bic pens that have just started are 5p cheaper delivered on ebay, though 2 packs of 12 rather than one pack of 24, but my DC are very young and it wouldn't matter to me. And why are there no reviews for the products in these deals? I'm sure there are some real bargains, but there's an awful lot of misleading going on. Clearly I should step away from the internet

ouryve · 25/11/2014 11:38

Apparently they do contain the figures
www.daisydaisydirect.co.uk/dolls-houses-dolls-4-6-years/snow-white-magic-moments.html

And the deal price is what they cost everywhere!

Whoever was asking about the farm, btw - 7:50pm

Curiouslygrumpycola · 25/11/2014 11:39

Farm is at 7.45pm today.

PandasRock · 25/11/2014 11:49

Thanks ouryve. Yes, I had noticed that about the deal price! It is definitely worth trying to verify pre-Black Friday week prices/standard availability prices before clicking...

I was after a carpet cleaner thingy earlier, but despite being offered at "30%" off, it was only £3 cheaper than it is regularly available on Amazon. Hardly a bargain Hmm

Stokey · 25/11/2014 11:50

They're £7.99 for two Ouryve. But they say "Add Bullyland Disney Princess figurines to bring the scene to life" so think you're just getting cardboard cutouts.

I was tempted by Northern Exposure too but DH said he didn't want to watch it - I definitely watched some of it at the time.

PreMadonna · 25/11/2014 11:51

here's a dilemma.

H sais this morning he'd quite lie one of those coffee pod machine things.#

There's one up later but it's a nescafe one. And I'm a nestle boycotter.

Do I swallow my principles?

Tortoise · 25/11/2014 11:52

I bought the bic pens although really need a 2nd pack. Found a cheap £5 xmas cd to make it free delivery. I do need new cds but wasn't essential which kind of defeats the saving!

Curiouslygrumpycola · 25/11/2014 12:04

Just trying to work out if the musical selection is going to be a bargain present for mil. Smile

mirpuppet · 25/11/2014 12:06

PreMadonna don't back down. Another set will come later this week.

As others have noticed, I agree that some of the "deals" are not "deals". Indeed I searched and some of the items Amazon had listed at the deal price or even lower just the day before.

Check, while it is in your basket that it is really a deal.

EachandEveryone · 25/11/2014 12:07

Damn you lot. I did need a new vacuum cleaner to be fair. I was taken in by the diwnload from £200 to £79 so my mum bought me it for Xmas, it's only £79 on eBay. I feel had and don't think I can look at Amazon anymore. The sane think happened with the Duplo afew weeks ago.

Curiouslygrumpycola · 25/11/2014 12:08

How are people checking it is a deal. Just using camelcamelcamel? Or should I be looking at something else?

Curiouslygrumpycola · 25/11/2014 12:11

Oh, not impressed. The musicals collection has doubled in price in the last few days, ready for the price to drop again. Are they allowed to do that?

PandasRock · 25/11/2014 12:14

Using camelcamelcamel is a good guide, as it gives you the price info tracked over months (if info available).

Or google the product and see what it is selling for in other shops at the moment.

The Black Friday discounts are always stated as a % off the RRP, not a % off what Amazon usually sells the product at.

schmeegle · 25/11/2014 12:27

Would anyone know if Duplo has ever come up on these lightning deals?

Have my eye on the fire engine but at £26 it is awfully pricey!

macnab · 25/11/2014 12:35

Well I'm a happy camper, just picked up the deluxe version of George Michael's "Symphonica" CD for £5.99 Smile Not only is that a huge saving, but I had asked DH to get it for me from the kids for xmas so now he doesn't even have to do that one teeny thing...
