I hate argos! Really chuffed to eventually find a store I could get to that had five products I wanted in it - but then couldn't check out when I went to do the pay in advance thing, tried repeatedly but it just kept saying try again, high volume blah blah.
So waited ten minutes and went back... and two items are not out of stock. From about five minutes after the 15% off began, the items I wanted were all completely oos in the city I live in. Did they just have one per store? Hmm

zipzap · 24/11/2014 00:01

I think I've posted this before but as the Works is being mentioned again, I'll post it again.

It's a link to a 20% off discount code that's valid until 29th November. I don't think it stacks with other codes - eg the 15% code that was on there today - but you might as well have 20% off as 15%!

theworks.refr.cc/QZDJQ4L

Disclaimer is that if anybody uses it I get a 20% code off too but it's also to be used by the end of the week and as I did all my The Works shopping in the rather large-- order last week, I don't think that I need to buy anything else from there!

Hmmmwhatnow · 24/11/2014 00:01

My Anna and Elsa dolls arrived today, only 5 days from placing the order and with Disney shop London labels on, they look great thanks guys!

WUME · 24/11/2014 00:02

Iggi - Have you looked on Amazon? I bought baby Annabell from there as they had priced matched it to Argos 15% off offer and it meant I didn't have to get dressed and go to an actual shop

Hmmmwhatnow · 24/11/2014 00:05

Looby I got the Lucy dog for DD1s Birthday from Argos, it's ok but doesn't always follow instructions and DD has only played with it twice since september after begging for it! Mind you she is a bugger for wanting toys then spending her entire time only on dressing up and games Hmm

Argos is a good price but I saw some in Home Bargains that were a little cheaper I think.

Iggi999 · 24/11/2014 00:09

Thanks, Wume - well I've now either got a (slightly different) order through, or I've in fact ordered and paid for it all twice! Not too sure. At least with Argos I can just return it then and there wondering how to return giant tub of Hama beads to Amazon

Blondieminx · 24/11/2014 00:30

Just popping on to say that the Book People have some great deals on LEGO books - about a third of the price Amazon want! Also have some lego sticker sets at £4. Hurrah!

zipzap · 24/11/2014 00:45

Help please - Can anybody remind me of any of the good cheap sellers of Sven and Olaf toys on AliExpress (or wherever it is!) - I'd mentioned them to my dsis as ideas for my dneices - and she was going to let me know if she thought they would like them. Didn't hear so didn't think anything of it. Until tonight - when I discover that she's assumed I was getting them - and she has no idea of the time it takes!

Has anybody bought any that were decent sized ones (rather than tiny ones), good quality and arrived in reasonable time - and a bargain of course!

Also - is there a way on AliExpress to search by seller? I've looked but there are so many Sven and Olaf's on there that it makes sense to go with a recommendation - but then I couldn't even figure out where I should be putting that in if I knew who to go with...

Flowers thanks in advance!

yumyumpoppycat · 24/11/2014 01:01

There are some code stacking offers on tesco finest dairy online in hot deals, depending on codes used you can get £12 worth of finest cheese for £2! Great for a christmas cheeseboard. I tried all the codes on hot deals, some worked some didn't and saved over £16.

snappybadger · 24/11/2014 03:01

Thanks IgnoreMe for the ELC code and to FluffyRedSocks for the offer. That's another totally unnecessary present bought for ds!!

andadietcoke · 24/11/2014 06:01

myotherusernameiswittyandgreat · 24/11/2014 06:58

Hmmm would you mind linking to the seller you bought the dolls from? I'm thinking about buying them for a friend's DD

There is 50% off on Vista Print at the moment for anyone looking for photo gifts.

wigglesrock · 24/11/2014 07:03

OohOod · 24/11/2014 07:17

Can you keep your eyes out for a kindle white in Black Friday? I'm mainly on my phone and it's not showing past 10am . My mum is a Luddite and wants one for my dad

PandasRock · 24/11/2014 07:39

Good deal on wow toys advent calendar today on zulily if anyone is after one here

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 24/11/2014 07:39

Thanks all baby decided night time sleep was not essential and permanent boob attachment was although appreciated as its that uncomfortable days. Now sleeping when it's time for ds1 to get ready for school!! Delights of number 2. Although they wake u n look at you with that cute face and all is forgiven.

Anyway bargains I too had noticed the kindle deal n would highly recommend one I brought a bog standard kindle fire in Jan second hand and its been used daily, husband got a HD version for bday in September and again it's used daily. Easy to use for both adults and children. I just have to resist the new version especially on a deal. Can I blame sleep deprivation :)
