Was it iamapalaeontologist who wanted the ikea gingerbread cutters? I am going tomorrow, can pick them up for you and post them, just let me know exactly what it is you are after and whether you still want them.

IAmAPaleontologist · 23/11/2014 15:33

Thank you Birding, the lovely dietcoke has got some for me.

Anyone wanting cheap make up bits for presents, hampers, stockings etc, poundshop.com have some genuine Calvin Klein make up at £1/item - there's mostly lip gloss and eyeshadow. They also have some Sally Hansen and maybelline nail varnish for a pound, and other brands of eye shadow, lip balm, mascara and body butter I don't recognise.

To be fair, I have bought some of the CK eyeshadow and sally hansen nail varnish previously at poundland but it's nice quality stuff for a pound and it's here and now - you have to be lucky to happen across it at poundland (ie it's never there when you need it!).

In fact it's worth looking at the entire beauty section as there's also things like Baptiste dry shampoo, galvin and galvin hair spray, jemma kidd make up,decent foot care ranges, exfoliating gloves and lots more, all for a pound. Bizarrely the CK stuff doesn't seem to be on the main beauty page.

Delivery is £3 if you spend under £20, then sliding scale through to free if you spend £30. But given that you're saving such a lot it's not so bad...

SlothBear · 23/11/2014 15:48

I bought the DVD recommended on here a few days ago, The Fox and the Child. We watched it yesterday, and it's really, really lovely - but me and DD ended up in absolute floods at the end, so anyone who has bought it might not want to save it for Christmas day, it's a bit emotional.

steppemum · 23/11/2014 16:01

sorry - reading page 6 of new thread (you guys move so fast) and someone asked about the 3D cookie cutters in ikea

Are they the ones where you get 8 ish cutters all the same shape in slightly smaller sizes, so you can build a christmas tree with them?

I bought dds a set each, one is star shape and the other circles. I can't remember if they were Asda or The Range. They were £1 a set. The largest one isn't huge though.

zipzap · 23/11/2014 16:05

If you're ordering from the works try etc too - they often have good cashback, just make sure you click the link for cashback and code!

YesMudder · 23/11/2014 16:15

Apologies if this has already been asked, but has anyone seen any cheap Christmas pudding bin bags? I heard that the pound shop had them in, but there were none in our tiny branch yesterday. I'd love some to wrap some big gifts!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/11/2014 16:16

I was in poundland the other day and they had christmas photo frame cards. 6 in a pack, 2 different designs. thought they were nice for grandparents and they have the pic to keep aswell Grin

now has anyone seen any pokemon bargains? dd got really into it after watching on Netflix. I love it too and get quite upset when she watches an episode without me ive ordered the little figs from ebay but dd has requested soft ones in opening pokeballs... cant find anything like that anywhere but santas elves can make anything as they are magic! and also looking for cheap pokemon cards as planning on making her a pokedex and ash costume if I get round to it thanks!!

ArthurChristmas · 23/11/2014 16:27

Are there any Matalan vouchers out there please? Have just fallen in love with their stockings!

Also, slightly odd question have 16 people staying pre-Christmas (and no I do not gave a mansion, 3 bedroom house and a lot of squashing). Anyone seen any bargains on pillows and duvets?

Desperately trying to work out Black Friday. I need an ipad, a pasta maker and a camera!

trixymalixy · 23/11/2014 16:31

Poundland had Xmas pudding bin bags last week when I was in.

Fasttrack at Argos is quite new. I used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

andadietcoke · 23/11/2014 16:37

Achica have some heavily reduced Pandora items at the moment, but they are selling out fast. Still a few items left though, including a watch for £59 reduced from £245.
