Mousetrap game - any good?

I had this as a child (can't remember if I enjoyed it or not, just that it was the "in" thing) and now my DCs want it but the reviews I have read have been rubbish!

I'm loathed to buy it if it's tat.

We 've had it years and no one can ever build it properly so it's never been played with! I too always wanted it (along with Mr Frosty) in the 1970s but never got! Scared to buy Mr Frosty now in case he keys me down too!!

We got it last year and don't play it often as it takes ages to set up. Kids 8 and under so too young to setup themselves.

We love it, but the "game" is rather superfluous to the joy of assembling the mouse trap and setting it off and of course mostly it doesn't work.

But....we found it nearly-new for £1 in a charity shop, so it didn't matter.

Just as I thought! Will strike it off the list
