Christmas Food at Iceland

Has anyone recommendations for good christmas food at Iceland? It's not a place I tend to shop at, but I have been unexpectedly ( and quite randomly) been sent £50 worth of Iceland vouchers for taking out car insurance with a new company.

I was thinking about xmas/ boxing day. I will be cooking for 12 on xmas day and a buffet for 14 on the 27th. I don't really like sausage rolls, but is any of their party food good? Do they sell seafood for instance?

I haven't been in an Iceland in about 7 years which is massively unhelpful, but they do have an online shop! I was looking at it last month to see what their stuff was like after Sainsbury's delivery kept pissing me off so it could be worth having a look on their website and see what they do?

Well the orange one who loves his kids is advertising lobster for £5. I can't imagine it being that great but I have never tried it before. May be stock up on some freezer stuff rather than hoping that their christmas stuff is ok so frozen chips, veg, pizza that kind of thing. They do groceries as well (well they did when they were closest to us and we were snowed in) so tins for your cupboard!

I worked there for 4 years until recently and my partner still works there. The meat joints are generally very nice and sell well as do their deserts. Also do a range of platters that sell well. We do most of our Xmas shopping there because my oh gets £60 vouchers as a bonus and have always enjoyed the food. The rest of the time it is generally tesco and I will get the all our veg and some other bits away from Icelands.

I love the half a crispy duck from there, it's only 3.50 and its delicious. We also like the Christmas tree ice lollies, the caramel one is gorgeous.
I'm not a fan of the meat joints, I find them a bit salty. I don't buy any other Iceland food, but I do buy the branded chips, peas and pizza. The grocery section is good too, as well as the chilled fresh section.

We got lots of party food from there last Christmas for the first time and it was uniformly good. I tried not to get too much 'brown' food. The chocolate cherry cups went down very well.

Came on to say about the mince pies but was beaten to it! I'll be trying them.

I'd buy 50 quids worth of Gregg's stuff :-D
