Suggestions for 11 yo step daughter please?

Struggling to think of presents for 11 yo step daughter. There is nothing 'big' she needs or wants. We only have her every second weekend so she doesn't always get the use of things we buy her. Also getting confused as to what is too babyish for her and what is too old. Would appreciate any ideas thanks!

A voucher for a shop she loves or a special day out (I am taking stepdgd aged 11 to Olympia to the horse show). A onesie, a piece of jewellery or a funky watch. A boxed set of a favourite tv show or a series like Harry Potter dvds would be nice. What about real (if you are rich) or fake (if you aren't) Ugg boots or Ugg flip flop slippers.

A kindle.

Would she appreciate something from Jack Wills/Hollister/Superdry?

An experience eg a driving day, or zookeeper for a day type thing.

Yy to a kindle! Hair straighteners? Hudl or laptop? Art stuff, book token, loom bands? Magazine subscription - shout, Jacqueline Wilson, top of the pops all faves here. onesie, Claire's accessories voucher. Dress designer drawing pad - from toys r us, goes down v well with dd and her friends, pamper eve set - bubble bath, slipper socks, DVD, face mask, chocs, hot choc etc?

Also, why doesn't she take the things you buy her home with her? That way, she'd get more use out of them...

She doesn't seem to be hit by labels yet and gets bored going shopping! Has kindle and iPod. Part of the problem is she never asks for anything so it is difficult to know what she would lihe. I really like the idea of doing something special with her, creating a memory. Maybe getting tickets for a concert. X factor tour and Disney on ice are options. Though not sure if she is too old for Disney on Ice?

Probably a bit old for Disney on ice. Why not suggest a few memory outings and see if one takes her fancy? I think at that age particularly the thought is important.

Like magazine subs idea, will go and have a look now. She does love her accessories so a Caires voucher good idea too! Thanks!

Proper afternoon tea somewhere?

Also, how about theatre/cinema tickets? Rock climbing/high ropes voucher? Day out in London doing something special - river trip, aquarium, castle visit/ Agree that trips and days out are fab at this age.
