In an ideal world, if I bought the brands I wanted and money was no object then I have £409 worth left to buy.

Cutting it down significantly (although nobody would know- and I have a birthday trip to Dublin to fit in) I can get it down to £241.... And then I'm DONE!!! Coming in at only £150 or so over budget (v good)

How much have you got left to do/buy/make and have you sneaked over budget yet??

Ho ho ho Xmas Smile

I have about £300 still to buy and £200 to spend. Good thing dh likes beans on toast! We have 2 dgc with birthdays in December and 9dgc to buy for. The Turkish and Canadian are already sent and I have some bits for everyone so if Christmas was tomorrow most people would have something. Dh however...

I've got flowers from inter flora to order for 2 mums and his grandma, and DH's two main presents the expensive items that I'm leaving until November pay day, and that it. Oh and wrapping paper and gift bags

Lilicat1013 · 19/11/2014 15:22

I have about £100 left of things to buy, a book for one brother, presents for two close friends and my Amazon US order for my other brother and sister in law.

I also have to do calendars for the boys great-grandmothers and get the Christmas cards sorted.

SageYourResoluteOracle · 20/11/2014 06:23

Present-wise just my parents. Find buying for them really tricky for some reason but I'm going to try and get these 2 gifts sorted this weekend. Around £60 budget for both gifts.

Having twitch already over DH - bought him a really lovely hoodie as his current one is a hoodie version of the velveteen rabbit- pjs and some posh shaving cream. Think I'll make him up a stocking this year.

DD and everyone else done a while ago and all wrapped.

We've bought some food and booze but will get the rest over the coming weeks.

I've wrapped almost everything but need one more roll of wrapping paper and more tags. Some parcels need posting, one to Belgium so I need to get on the case soon and I need to buy some cards. 20 ordered from DD's school. Card writing this Saturday evening for me, I think. Might even get some mulled wine...Grin

All decorations have been checked except lights so I'm hoping our false (but tasteful-ish) tree has survived the two house moves we've made this year. Will buy a wreath as first year living in a house and not a flat!

I flipping love Christmas!!!

I have only bought one or two things so far. I don't have a budget. I spend wisely and buy what needs to be bought, then count up the cost afterwards.

ClashCityRocker · 20/11/2014 08:38

I have about £200 budgeted to spend, and am hoping to come in for less - main presents are all sorted, it's just bits and bats and impossible to buy for bil.

LikeSilver · 20/11/2014 09:08

I have the boring gift vouchers for teenage nephews left to buy - £60 altogether

Hoodie for younger nephew - £20

Present for DD's BFF - £10

I am twitching over a doughnut maker for DH but if I'm struggling to afford it I won't bother.

I have bought Christmas cards, crackers, any extra decorations etc already - I usually get these in December so pleased to have them out of the way. I have got Christmas pudding, Christmas cake etc sorted and ordered the turkey so DH and I will share the cost of paying for that and the veg and we're done. I think! Yay!

I just finished off most of mine, Hamper for Granny - she's 83, lives 250 miles away from me and can't carry much shopping so I thought a nice hamper of treats would be great for her. Keyboard for dd1, Astronaut dressing up for nephew2 and a football card game for nephew1.

I do need to buy an iTunes voucher for ds2 and something small for my father in law.

I started much later than usual this year, but I haven't got as much as I have in previous years, so I'm quite happy.

FelixFelix · 20/11/2014 15:45

I've finished apart from buying for my Mum and Dad, but I know exactly what I'm buying (vouchers and something else small to open). I've one over budget for DP, but under budget for nieces and nephews so it all evens out. I'm quite pleased that I'm almost finished Smile

Coumarin · 20/11/2014 15:50

I don't have a budget but vaguely have a max amount for each person. I add it up as I go along. I don't have any children though so it's a bit different.

Next year I'm going to do a proper budget and set a bit aside each month. I think I'd feel better doing it that way.

Rosvita · 20/11/2014 15:51

Hopefully £50 worth left to buy-
Teacher gift, chocolates or similar for 3 cousins and nursery staff, then just framed photos of kids for 6 sets of relatives.

Floralnomad · 20/11/2014 15:55

I don't have a budget and I've so far only bought 3 presents ,but a couple of hours online ,a day in London next week and a couple of trips to Bluewater and I will have it sorted !
