Poor neglected third child. What to get him for Christmas?!?

DS will be 1 in the week and I've struggled to think of a couple of presents to give him (a toy set of keys, a play mobile 123 bus thing and a soft Olaf from his siblings..)
I have a ds4 (nearly5) and a dd 2 so we are overwhelmed with stuff, and he has tons of hand me down toys to play with, but if only for the others to see I need to get the poor thing something for Christmas! Any ideas? Doesn't have to be toys.

What about an annual pass to a local soft play/farm park? Nice character cutlery/bowl/plate set and a few little 'things' so there's some presents under the tree?

I'm in the same boat. She has her birthday really close to Christmas too but she is more than happy playing with her hand me down toys and we don't have a lot of room.

So, I'm watching with interest!

A large soft hammer. They love them. Go round tapping everything. Never fails.

And a small football. You can never have too many.

A book of nursery rhymes, his very own to keep and give to his children.

A book of songs with a cd . There is a brilliant one of Caribbean songs called Mango spice.

A book and mug and bowl set. Peter Rabbit, the tiger who came to tea and I think elmer are examples.

The entire beatrix potter set, cheap from The Book People.

Any use?

Personalised stuff?

Build a bear or rag doll

Nursery rhymes CD

Box of duplo/small duplo set (you can never have too much!)

Something small like a Fisher Price smartphone or the like

Dinner set/cutlery

Must be a book or two you don't already have

Any Happyland that is small that might mix in with what you already have

Musical instruments

Schleich animals or the like to start his own collection

A whirlee? Although the 2 yr old may want it actually, erm.
Right, lots of books and balls.
Bubbles.
Something noisy.
Poster for bedroom.
Nice cushion and/or blanket for naps.
Kids cd player with nursery rhyme and story CDs.
Jigsaw puzzle.
Bath toys.

Wellies a splash suit and a brolly?

Some giant wall stickers to decorate around his cot?

Soft toy hammock?

A bookcase?

A projector light for the ceiling above his cot?

Gro clock in preparation?

A sheepskin?

It's hard isn't it. We have the same problem although ds2 is neArly 4 now and after inheriting his older brothers train track we are expanding on that.
Happyland is always good and you can never have enough!
Some nice clothes that aren't hand me downs
New drinks bottle

hellodave · 15/11/2014 16:38

Similar problem here but with neglectes nearly one yr old 4th son....
plan so far is.....
a light up plastic ball from amazon.
a batman backpack and reins combo.
goodies gift box from boots.
new toys for bath (so i can throw some mouldy ones away)
A duplo batman set that his 5 yr old brother says that ds4 " really wants".
will probably get some new sleepsuits and a cutlery set which we need to get anyway but that he can unwrap.
and lots of wrapping paper to play with :)

We've got our 4th child this

Not sure how handy you are-and if not at all you can buy these too,I think Melissa and Doug do one- but I am making DS a busy board. I'm going to paint it and put his name on it and put latches, hinges, magnets, small door knocker, levers and switches on it. He is a bit older than yours but to be honest think he probably would have played with it from 1 if I'd got around to it sooner!

He still loves his elc bus with little people he got for his first birthday and he got an elefun popper for his first birthday too that has been endless fun-if that most of that now is experimenting with what other objects than the balls work in it and what things get stuck!
