I have a yearly quest to find a tree topper that I actually like. We aren't Christian and celebrate Christmas in a more secular way (I realise this is something that incenses some posters but is not about to change). I avoid overtly Christian images and favour more natural themes on my tree (am a pagan so this fits in with my beliefs).
Anyway, I wouldn't have an angel for this reason and a star seems a little wrapped up in the nativity story too. We had a fairy for a while until it's head fell off, but the only replacements I could find were very delicate and promoted a female image I'm not comfortable with. We had an owl last year which is ok but a bit garish.
Really I would like a sun as this would fit my actual beliefs well, but have never found one or a sun decoration I could fashion into a tree topper. But I'd be convinced by anything else nice that isn't overtly Christian.
Anyone seen anything?
