Total technophobe here. I want a device that my 6 year old can play music on please.

Not an ipod as they're expensive aren't they? Something with speakers? Even a small device which will take speakers will work....

Hi, I searched back in July for my son's 4th birthday as he loves his music, in the end I just bought an MP3 player, it was nice and cheap with just the basic buttons, volume, pause/play and skip. I bought some child friendly earphones for about £8 and use my old desktop computer speakers if he listens to bedtime stories or something on it as they just have the standard headphone connector on them :-)

a laptop or computer. It's pretty easy, if you have the music you want on your laptop/computer you just basically plug the MP3 player into the computer with the usb lead (comes with the MP3 player) Then follow the instructions, it is easy once you've done it once you'll get the hang of it, then you can keep updating the MP3 player with different music, if you did struggle you could get someone to show you to do it :-)

no worries :-) Ive not personally connected his MP3 player to my tablet but if it's got a usb port on your tablet then I don't see why not, if You Google 'can i connect an MP3 player to Your tablet model' then you should be able to find out for certain before buying one :-)
