Fun but free/low cost gift ideas

Hi,

My husband is insistent that he doesn't want a gift this year. By which he means he doesn't want me to spend any money, or at least not a lot of money

I still want to get him something though. I'm trying to think of cute ideas for something I could do instead of an expensive present.

So far I've thought of cooking him a nice steak dinner, but I'm stuck for other ideas.

Please help!

Possibly twee for some, but I saw an idea on pintrest where you give a box of sealed letters entitled things like "To read when you're feeling lonely", "To read when something has gone wrong", "To read when you wonder how I feel about you" and so on.
