Hi

I just can't think of ideas for myself for Christmas! Boring I know! Any ideas for not too expensive gifts? I have two young dc, like running and crochet, swimming. Cycling, and other things most women like such as jewellery, make up, face creams etc!

Any hit gift I might be missing?!!

Thanks!

Cashmere pjs (M&S so not as pricey as they would be elsewhere)
A generator (won't happen but I ask for one every year!)
New undies
a new dressing gown.

Thats' my list (I'm all about staying warm at the moment!)

Haahoooo · 07/11/2014 11:54

I was about to post the same question OP. I was particularly hoping to get some ideas that are really useful to a mum of two small DC - eg clever gadgets or something that does all the housework.

My list so far has wellies, a wash bag, and tops suitable for breastfeeding...

Rowboat · 07/11/2014 12:01

Me too. There's nothing I want. I think "oh I might like so and so" then immediately think "naaa"Sad
Well, what I do want is a lovely Christmas. I used to get really annoyed with df for always answering "nothing, I'm ok" when asked what he wants for Christmas/birthdays. He'd be pissed off if he actually got nothing. But I now understand for the first year. Getting old. Sad

Lovely new books
New handbag
Vouchers to spend in the Boxing Day sales
New wellies
Ugg earmuffs for dog walking
Cosy pjs, slippers, dressing gown
Voucher for a movie & meal out with DH

My favourite perfume

Takver · 07/11/2014 12:29

Books and cds - perfect to listen to and read over xmas

Wilf83 · 07/11/2014 12:33

If you can't think of anything then why don't you ask for someone to sponsor a child/animal on your behalf or buy a charitable gift. No point in asking for something you don't really want/need for the sake of it.

blacktreaclecat · 07/11/2014 13:09

Liz Earle cleanse and polish and maybe a few other bits
Nice bath oil
New PJs
Hat and scarf set (saw these in a Radley sale and loved them, my mum has got me them)
Voucher to go sales shopping
Slipper socks
Slippers

I'll only get something small from my mum so I've asked for some chocolates and some bubble bath and I think she's going to get me a nightgown, I'm most excited about playing with dd's duplo on the day

TwoNoisyBoys · 07/11/2014 17:22

I'd like......

The new Stephen Fry autobiography.
Anything in the L'Occitane Cherry Blossom range.
The new Jimmy Page book.
Any 'Nice' bubble bath (partial to Imperial Leather though, so not exactly expensive taste! Grin)
A nice cashmere jumper (although I'd probably wreck it in the wash!)
Any Sanctuary Spa stuff (except the ginger body lotion which makes my skin burn :/ )
Honey Jack Daniels
The newly remastered Led Zeppelin CDs..... I, II, III, IV & Houses Of The Holy. I've got originals on vinyl and also on cd, so can't really justify the expense....but if SOMEONE ELSE were to buy them...... Smile

Thanks Santa!

Borka · 07/11/2014 17:33

Radley bag (which I've already bought as I saw it reduced)
Popcorn maker
Books & book tokens
Silicone rolling pin
Maybe a laminator, not sure if I really want one

Nanasueathome · 07/11/2014 17:35

Surprises

Thrif · 07/11/2014 17:44

I'd like a microplane grater for parmesan/ginger. No-one will get it for me because it's for the house/kitchen and utilitarian so doesn't count as a gift, but there's no way I'd spend £20 on a grater for myself, especially when I have a functional one.

I'd use it often and it would make me smile, so on top of being something I wouldn't buy for myself, it's exactly what a gift should be IMO.

maddy68 · 07/11/2014 17:48

A USB record player :)

Haahoooo · 07/11/2014 18:22

A laminator? I kind of want one but what would I laminate?

BadRoly · 07/11/2014 18:26

I would like a silver glittery stags head from Next Xmas Grin

coffeetofunction · 07/11/2014 19:13

A private number plate
A pair of louboutins
A bottle of tastey prosecco
Tickets to see Jamie T....

None of which our budget will stretch too....but that's what I want!!!

Skyland · 07/11/2014 19:41

Marian Keyes and Jane green new hardback books
Burgundy boots from office
Orla kiely radio for kitchen
Marks and Spencer's coffee chocolates
Large picture of my children all smiling and with their eyes open(impossible)

HolgerDanske · 07/11/2014 19:43

My wish list is so long. Actually I have two lists - never-in-my-wildest-dreams, and perfectly reasonable and achievable Smile Top of the second list is a lovely navy and black blanket scarf and an Urban Decay Naked 2.

MrsPnut · 07/11/2014 19:53

I have on my list
A sewing box
A new pair of shears
Some vouchers for our local sewing course place
Perfume

Waitingonasunnyday · 07/11/2014 19:58

A nice BIG pretty not leaky flask for when I watch DS at footie.

Bamboo socks

No7 cream

Shiny beautiful fair trade things from India

WhatWouldFlopDo · 07/11/2014 19:58

A pair of emu slippers, my current pair have holes where my big toe pokes out (and have for the last year) and look disgusting, so I'd like a new pair. They are the most comfortable slippers I've ever had.

GlowWine · 07/11/2014 19:59

Hooded dressing gown
Personalised silver jewellery

Nobody's asked yet what I want though...

makingdoo · 07/11/2014 20:18
