I am really struggling for ideas this year. What have you bought or planning on buying for girls this age?

Is 11 too old for lego friends? 11 year old really wants the boat.

Dd ( almost 11) is getting

A hudl 2
Minecraft lego
Pokemon 3ds game
Bright eyes blanket ( a bit young for a 11 year old but she really wants one )
Pokemon hoody
Maze runner books
Sketch pad and pencil
Some leggings with pandas on them
Bath bombs

Never too old for lego ( I can't wait to help the dd's build theirs, if they let me ).

Dancergirl · 06/11/2014 12:44

I'd never heard of bright eyes blankets, just had a look on Amazon.

My 7 year old would LOVE one of those, thank you!

Dd spotted them on tv a few days ago so I had to order her one, she had a cuddleupet (sp) last year and sleeps with it every night, the same with her pillow pet so I know the bright eye blanket will be a hit.

13 DD will be getting (for Christmas and birthday);

duvet set
makeup
scented drawer liners
journal
gig tickets
Gavin & Stacey DVD set
phone as main present for both dates
t-shirts
ankle boots or leather jacket
books
posters

hair straighteners, toiletries, perfume, makeup, slushy maker from family

Make up is quite a good idea for my 13 year old, shes just started wearing a bit. Any particular brands popular with teens?

i like to get things that she could not afford from her allowance, eg Benefit, Urban Decay.

DD and her friends all give each other make up on birthdays, they like the Rimmel Scandaleyes mascaras.

A handbag for the older one? Satchels seem to be popular. I know they do them in Top Shop and Superdry, but I assume other places too!

ihatethecold · 06/11/2014 21:11

The zoella stuff in superdrug is popular this year.

I got lots of great suggestions on this thread. So far we've got a HP/HG themed hoodie, HP jewellery and new headphones

Dancergirl · 09/11/2014 09:17

Where do you buy HP stuff takver?

My dd13 has asked for Frozen dvd and water speakers.

Mua make-up is really good, cheap and not tested on animals.
I will also get perfume-she mentioned Charlie Red, bath stuff, top shop/new look voucher, make-up brushes, earrings, body shop body butter, headphones and some chocs.

Hulababy · 09/11/2014 09:36

Lots of Harry potter stuff in Primark at the moment - they seem to have bought a whole Load of licensing.

They also have frozen, dc comics, paul frank, fault in our stars...

HolgerDanske · 09/11/2014 12:54

Never too old for lego. Especially if that's what they want...

insanityscratching · 09/11/2014 13:20

Dd11 is getting either an ipad or a wii u ( she's undecided), the latest Mario game for her ds, a minecraft sheep, books and some proper artists materials paints, brushes, canvas, easel. and then a stocking with useful stuff and the obligatory fart cushion.
