Flavourly code FATHERT12 is only taking it down to £8 for me too. It takes £12 off of the monthly beer sub, taking that down to £12 (£12 for 8 beers is not a bargain, £24 for 8 beers is fucking ridiculous!).

Daisy - It is very random things that are for sale on the Black Friday, you can't really plan for it, as the things they reduce are not very predictable IYSWIM?
It is normally on for a week though, so doesn't matter if you work Fridays
TBH, sometimes I don't buy very much, but the threads are really friendly and good fun, so worth it just for the banter even if you're not intending to buy anything

Amazon Black Friday is good if you wanted the thing on sale anyway and it's a genuinely big reduction, but you can be tempted to buy crap you really don't have any use for. It's just like Lightning Deals but ramped up a bit for a week.

Thanks to the poster who posted about the free lego in the Daily Mail yesterday. Our store had 3 sets so I bought 3 copies and got one of each ( not interested in the actual paper). I got a spiderman set including a mini figure, little black car and a lego friends set which also included a mini figure, which I gave to dsis for my neice. The lego friends and spiderman sets look brilliant, the car less so but at £1.80 for all 3 I can't complain!

atlantic I ordered some frozen soft dolls on Thursday evening and they were dispatch sat morning. Estimated delivery 20 days.

Mind you, I did that in early September (ordered and allegedly dispatched within a couple of days) and they still haven't turned up.

You folks have been busy whist I was at work today.

I saw peppa pig jewellery and hair things in asda today, didn't look closely at prices or what there was, but it was a branded cardboard stand thing with quite a lot of stock.

dogmatix if you not already signed up with H&M then you get 25% discount with 1st order once sign up to news letter. They really mean with discount codes since they cracked down last year, even their system flags up if you use different email address to home address

Sadly tax avoidance is perfectly legal.
Tax evasion isn't.
And amazon are very very clever in distinguishing between the 2.
Can't comment on how they threat their staff, don't know anyone that's worked there.
I use amazon.
When you live in a small village and are not in the best of health online shopping is a godsend!
However, I also support small local businesses too (local deli, boutique, bistro, gift shop etc) but sadly there is no book shop in my village, or indeed in the nearest town.
I also feel quite strongly that once one descends to name calling and obscenity one rather loses the moral high ground :)

Wow this has moved crazy quickly! Which of the orchard toys games have you found great for a 4 yr old DS? He's loved shopping basket since last year and thinking of a different one or another game generally that we can play together.
