Mollymoofer · 05/11/2014 10:34

Hi everyone, longtime lurker here. Thanks for all the tips. Just a word of warning about the argos 3-4-2. I shoved a whole load of everything in my basket and when I tried to remove the cheaper items so I could get the best deal, the entire basket emptied. Grrrr! I need to go out now so I basically wasted the last 30 minutes. Hope my items are still available when I come back.

Also, there was another poster (missmakesstuff) wanting ideas for her DH the other day who liked cycling, sci-fi and beer (so does mine!)

Not particularly bargainous but some great cycling stuff in the Rouleur shop, their magazines are lovely, but DH never has time to read them these days.

I've also in the past got him the Cycle Passion calendar if you don't mind him looking at scantily clad lady cyclists? He got me a Sherlock one last year and I'm hoping for a Cumberbatch one this year Wink

The Book People are doing a flash sale, lots of (good) books for £1, plus up to 90% reductions of a couple of hundred of their best sellers. Ends midnight tonight - worth a look:

My 10year old DD has requested slippers, and walkie talkies for Xmas: any idea where I can get some super-cheap slippers? And decent-ish walkie-talkies for under £20ish? TIA Flowers

The tikkers watch set arrived today, it is great for the price. Although it has no battery and no box. Anyone know where I can get a watch gift box? The ones on amazon are more expensive than the watch!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 05/11/2014 12:02

Cslewis the surfdome website has some lovely girls slippers reduced to 5.99 free second class delivery

marne2 · 05/11/2014 12:07

Very happy that Argos let me have the lego set for yesterday's price, was worried when I checked online this morning and the lego friends mall had gone from £59.99 to £75.99 Shock so I reserved a smaller set but when I explained to the lovely man on the till he said I could have it for the price I reserved it at Smile. So I bought the Mall set, sylvanians tree school and a lego minecraft set and it came to just under £100. I have now finished the dd's ( unless I twitch ).

Thanks CS Lewis for the book people reminder, are any codes around still?

I've just got the imaginext bat cave for 23.99 on Amazon, that's the cheapest I've seen it.

yaffle · 05/11/2014 12:28

www.amazon.co.uk/SODIAL-Fashion-Infinity-Strands-Bracelet/dp/B00JTQQW1W/ref=sr_1_22?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1415190114&sr=1-22&keywords=womdee (Apologies if this has already been mentioned , and for the long link) .

Possible stocking filler for tween girl ?

roslet · 05/11/2014 12:30

Amazon now have 27% off quite a few toys to compete with Argos 342, not as good as last year when they reduced lots of Playmobil, Lego etc by 33%.

atticusclaw · 05/11/2014 12:32

PS4 price is fluctuating wildly on Amazon but was on this morning at £319 which is a very good price. Their bundles are not cost effective at all.

atticusclaw · 05/11/2014 12:32

Zavvi have the PS4 for £309 but not in stock. They've let me down with this approach before so I wouldn't risk it.
