Easy ideas for Christmas Fete

Our PTA has a stand at the local Christmas Fete and I am looking for ideas for easy fundraising. In the past we did well with Christmas tree decorations that had space to personalize there and then and I cannot find anything like this (they were donated by a local shop which has since closed so I cannot find out where they were from). They were like ceramic stockings already decorated with space at the top for a name or small message or an angel holding a sign where a name could be added.

If anyone can find these or indeed suggest simple, non labour intensive ideas for our stand that would be great.

Have you looked at Yellow Moon or Baker Ross? They do packs of things that children can decorate and take away, they go down well at our Xmas fete.

Jam jar tombola - get children to each bring in a jam jar filled with a prize- can be anything that fits. Charge £1 per jar.

Key for santa - just gold spray old Chubb keys and attach a laminated poem about the magic of the key (will be on google)

We asked parents to bring in a bottle of alchol and or cake/biscuits.

We then found wheel barrows for said alchol and cake - padded with shredded paper for a raffle. That went down well.

Non uniform day (obviously Headteacher would need to be on board) in exchange for specific things for Tombolas. e.g. Years Key stage 1- toiletries and smellies, year 3 and 4-Chocolate items, year 5 and 6 sweets in a jam jar.

My DDs primary school used to do this and they made a packet!

Gold ticket cracker:

Buy up loads of cheap crackers. Every 1 in 20 or so has a golden ticket added to them. They pay however much you want to charge for a cracker. If their cracker has a golden ticket inside they can pick something off another stall as their prize.

How about Christmas eve plates. take a plain white plate (cheap in places like ikea etc) then draw with permanent marker a design on the plate with a section marked out for Santa's mince pie and his glass of milk and a carrot shaped space for rudolphs carrot. Once designed you bake the plates in the oven...leave them to cool in the oven before you remove them....This seals in the design and makes the plate washable. you can do it with mugs etc too
