What are you getting your 4/5 year old girl?

Super stuck for ideas for DD. I've sorted her main present (baby annabell) and my dad, pil and sister are getting her various accessories for it such as pram, cot and highchair.
I really don't know what else to get her though. She has all the Disney princess dresses you could possibly imagine already - dressing up is her favourite thing to do. I've ordered her the doc mcstuffins outfit. Really stuck for ideas now.

My soon to be 5 year old boy is getting Lego, playmobil, a marble run, a snap circuit set, wonderwise books, a furby and various other books/DVDs between his birthday and Christmas Smile
Does she like craft stuff?

babybythesea · 28/10/2014 07:17

DD is also into Disney princesses but I don't want to drown in the stuff. I will indulge a bit but not totally!

Craft bits, and bead sets (ones to make necklaces etc).
Jigsaws.
Board games. Animal Safari by orchard toys and Frustration are popular here. We are looking for something new for Christmas.
Lego. We have bits from both the Lego friends range (suitably girly) and the Lego City range, which she initially rejected as 'for boys' but really enjoyed making once she'd got past that little hurdle.
Play mobile. We're gradually building up the zoo/wild animal range.

Can I ask what Marvel please TheJoyfulPuddleJumper? I would love to get DD some but have no idea what would be age appropriate Thanks

MrsDumbledore · 28/10/2014 08:09

My dd will be 5 a few days before Xmas. Sounds quite different from yours as she had no interest in baby dolls and not much in dressing up! Between the two occasions we are thinking of lego (cinderella castle and batman, so nice and varied!), playmobil, Octonauts toys, books, Jigsaws, board games. My mum is thinking of getting her a watch.

Jcee · 28/10/2014 09:23

My DD will be 5 just before Xmas and loves dressing up and dolls. She also loves crafty things like hama beads and sticky mosaics and she is just getting into board games.

I'm trying not to indulge the disney princess thing too much and so am going to balance out the anna and elsa dolls with a lego starter kit and some books and games

From various grandparents and us for bday and christmas (same month) our dd who will be 4 is getting elsa dress, frozen figures, princess sophie dress, jewellery box, some disney dvds, and a share in a playhouse with her brother (from santa). She is a very girly girl though.

Elvish · 28/10/2014 15:57

Thanks TheJoyfulPuddlejumper I think I will have to order that it looks great Grin

Elvish · 28/10/2014 15:59

DD has done her Christmas list and it features a dragon, a large darth vader and a transformer. As well as a frozen elsa beauty case full of make up. I'm happy with the balance. Grin

Iloveonionchutney · 28/10/2014 16:01

My 4yr old dd is getting a dolls house and dolls to go with from one set of gps, a leap reader pen and books from the other gps. We are getting her the docmobile, some more Julia Donaldson books, Cinderella and Rapunzel dolls and some board games we an all play together. Then a stocking with sweets, bath foam, hair bits, toothbrush and anything else little I see.

HappyMedium · 28/10/2014 16:27

books
clothes

SlatternGettingPumpkinReady · 28/10/2014 18:37

My DD is getting a variety of Frozen bits and pieces, some lego and a bike. And enough chocolate to last her the year.

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 28/10/2014 20:29

Dd has asked for jewellery making set (after I convinced her that Santa would in no way be piercing her ears), a secret diary, hair chalks, pretend tatoos, one of those dolls heads with the hair, hama beads and I will be getting her lego and some board games. Her first comment when I asked what she wanted was "I got presents last Christmas".... She thought you were only allowed Christmas presents once Grin

Donthackmenow · 28/10/2014 21:12

The barbie house that was half price in Sainsbury's, a frozen t shirt, Elsa magiclip doll, shopkin trolley, frozen nail polish and jewellery, whopee cushion, frozen busy book, personalised water bottle and a brain box game. Her brother has got her the Lego pony farm- if she likes it then she will get more Lego for her birthday. From her grandparents she is getting a barbie car and a 'Ken', her aunt is getting her the 'Anna' Barbie. I am worried that she has too much tat but hopefully she will like it all. We are trying to restrict people to buying one present as previous years they have had far too much!

AcheyJakey · 28/10/2014 21:58

There's a brilliant decorate your own clutch bag with mosaics for about a rennet on amazon. Will try and find the link hang on...

AcheyJakey · 28/10/2014 22:00

It's called stick n style clutch. I'm failing to get the link from amazon on my phone aargh sorry!

AcheyJakey · 28/10/2014 22:02

A rennet Hmm I mean a tenner...

makesomenoise · 28/10/2014 22:03

A variety of frozen stuff, Elsa doll, wigs etc! A 'flying fairy'. She wants a car garage with ramps and cars. A bigger scooter as she's outgrown the micro. A couple of DVDs, books, a CD player for her bedroom with a few CDs to sing along to, and far more that I can't remember just now!

Flisspaps · 28/10/2014 22:03

Books. Scarf/gloves. She's also asked for a Glitzi Globe and a 'bounsy castll' Smile

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 28/10/2014 22:06

The only thing DD (4.4) has asked for is a giraffe hand puppet, so I'm getting her a puppet theatre and some other puppets. Will probably get her some Frozen bits, a couple of books and some crafty things.

dustybinlydia · 28/10/2014 22:07

Imaginabox cradle is £2.93 on Amazon instead of £9.99.

DaffodilField · 28/10/2014 22:14

Oh I forgot her GPs also getting her a watch for her bday

BatCrapCrazy · 29/10/2014 08:37

Ooh some fab ideas. I've just ordered her and DS some finger puppets for their stockings. And I've ordered dd a beautiful tea set. Thinking about getting the Asda wooden cafe icecream stand thingy as a joint present for them. I have pretty much finished DS' (3yo) presents. He's so easy to buy for.
