I wants to make Christmas stockings for my parents

We live near them so although we aren't seeing them until Christmas evening this year I want to drive round very early, leave the stockings by their door, ring the doorbell and run, so that they open the door to see the stockings. Don't have huge amounts of money - maybe up to £20 per stocking. Any ideas what to put in.

Was thinking obviously chocolate and an orange. Also maybe a magazine each and a book or cd each. A miniature for my dad (my mum doesn't drink).

Other ideas please.

my mum gets primark fluffy socks, a bag of choc coins, some jelly sweets, an orange, a bag of choc coins, a magazine or puzzle book, a Christmas teddy, a face cloth and maybe a cheap nail polish.

how about a lotto scratch card or ticket each
emery boards and handcream for mum...maybe a lipbalm
some gloves

Packet of seeds if they're gardeners.

Bubble bath/shower gel.

Cans/bottles of coke with Mum and Dad on...so you can get a share of the credit with Father Christmas - need to be bought fast before they are all gone from the shops! Usefully bulky too.

Grocery stuff works well in grown up stockings e.g. nice chutney, shortbread etc. I tend to just scan M&S foodhall for stocking fillers like that.

Xmas or nordic socks.

Save any perfume samples you get for your mum or maybe just ask for stuff at counters. I stay in hotels for work sometimes and try to remember to save any nice miniature toiletries/jars of jam.

Stationery.
