Thanks for the lightning deals warning. I think I always have that at the back of my mind but I'm a marketers dream!

Notso · 27/10/2014 22:25

Chocolateteabag would you say that John Deere set would be cheap to post or is it heavy/bulky?

Laundryangel · 27/10/2014 22:42

In case some of you are only watching this thread rather than browsing the Xmas topic, another poster has posted a code for 20% off on the Playmobil website. Their prices are competitive so very good value with the discount, especially on items which aren't often reduced (like the hotel which I have been watching for months). Free delivery over £30 but note it can take up to 30 days although says it is likely to be 5-7 days.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 27/10/2014 23:07

I just used that playmobil code, 20% off and a free gift so was delighted
didnt actually need what I got but thats not the point

Littlemousewithcloggson · 27/10/2014 23:09

Thats the downside of this thread - spending money you dont really have to buy stuff you dont really need to put in space you dont really have!
(its fun though!)

2Kids, I love your conversation with the Tea Cake lady. Smile

3bunnies · 28/10/2014 07:27

The Aldi wooden toys these are available from Aldi from Thursday. We got the creative blocks last year. They are like kapla blocks but signifcantly cheaper. They combine them with dominos and jenga blocks to create houses, cities, pyramids etc. They are still played with most days and have made it back onto this year's lists too because they want more, which is almost unheard of.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 28/10/2014 07:44

Imaginext triceratops price is seriously inflated! It was 15-20£ a couple of xmases ago.

50shadesofknackered · 28/10/2014 07:46

Does anybody have an ELC code?

Barbeasty · 28/10/2014 08:09

Someone was after the Guinness book of records. WH Smith had it reduced to £10 yesterday in store. The had lots of books like that at half price. Nothing I was after though!

Callofthewild · 28/10/2014 08:30

Where do people reckon is the best place to buy batteries? I'm wary of buying them from the pound shops in case they don't hold much charge but equally don't want to spend a small fortune. I've got DTD's a good selection of Toot Toot vehicles that will all need batteries might live to regret this

GerrardWinstanley · 28/10/2014 08:36

Aldi batteries are great and cheap. Think they only do AA and AAA though

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/10/2014 08:39

Guinness book of world records is in The works as is Ripley's Believe it or Not and using the code SANTA you get 20% off.

DaisyFlowerChain · 28/10/2014 08:41

Callofthewild, Amazon do a basics range which includes batteries. Far better than the cheaper versions.

TheFantasticMrsFox · 28/10/2014 09:06

call I eventually cracked and bought rechargeable Duracells. They are great and have forever removed the fear of hearing "I neeeeed a battery mum" when we live in the middle of nowhere so no convenient battery supplier on tap :o

NorksEnormous · 28/10/2014 09:19

Last week I got an email from boden with the £10 voucher, today I've recieved a letter in the post with another £10 voucher! Result! Grin

kavv0809 · 28/10/2014 09:19

Wise ones I need some advice. I've got Nectar points saved to, not loads but about fifty quid if I just swap it for shopping. In previous years that's exactly what I did at Christmas, but looking at all the chat about Tesco I'm wondering if Sainsbury do anything similar - is there a clever way for me to get better value on my points? Thanks in advance.

NorksEnormous · 28/10/2014 09:22

Just seen Cadbury chocolate coins are discontinued!! ShockShockShock

2kidsintow · 28/10/2014 09:52

You snooze, you lose.... I've been twitching about whether to order the laptop that had good reviews that was a good price on tesco, but as of last night it stopped showing up on their site. Bum.
