PinkSquash · 24/10/2014 23:03

IHeart would aCar Badges book work for your DS? It's an I spy type

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 24/10/2014 23:06

Re the Lego set, now you've found her name you could PM her the link or offer to buy and send.
Chocolate I bought that finger puppet set for a friends DS last Christmas and they were very well received, she tells me he plays with them all the time and has named them after various family members. Would definitely recommend them.

IHeartKingThistle · 24/10/2014 23:09

Pink those I-spy books look perfect (and bargainous!). I've never seen them before. Can you do the rest of my Christmas shopping please? Wink

margaritasbythesea · 24/10/2014 23:36

I think there are lots of those I-spy books. My ds has a different one called every vehicle on the road' which he loves.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/10/2014 00:11

Buckskinned it's only for 2yo ds so thinking of something cheap and cuddly Grin

PickledBrains · 25/10/2014 07:04

What's better for my 19mo, Toot Toot or Happyland?

We don't have room for both but I want them!

BicycleGasoline · 25/10/2014 07:19

pickledBrains hmm, not sure between happyland and toto toot. We have had happyland for DD, now 3 which my DTSs now 16m play with. I love it and it's infinitely expandable too. But then I picked toto toot cars in the sainsburys sale and let the boys hold them as we went round. Drove me crazy but they loved them so much it was a wrestle to get them back to pay for them! Just be prepared for the toot toot set to make lots of very annoying noises.

Kathryn2967 · 25/10/2014 07:21

We have both, I'd go with happyland as the noise of the toot toot drives me crazy plus my kids love the happyland people. We were given really old happyland track which we have added lots to so the kids love pushing the vehicles from shops to houses. The toot toot track is quite difficult to get it to fit together, my four year old tries really hard but can only sometimes get it all to meet up whereas the happyland my 2 year old can make successful tracks. Hope that helps!

PamelaEwing · 25/10/2014 07:32

Only came on to day the imaginext batcave had dropped to £19.99 on amazon but kept getting redirected to porn sites!! Tell me I'm not alone as i definitely haven't been looking at those x

NorksEnormous · 25/10/2014 08:04

Batcave still showing as £29.99 for me buddy!

Dragonboobs · 25/10/2014 08:11

Groupon have the christmas toilet roll back today!
They also have lots of frozen bits.

spaghettiarms1 · 25/10/2014 08:12

IHeart Hot wheels tracks aren't too bad quality. I would say the more simple the better. We've had a few tracks and the bendy orange track pieces are the bits that get used constantly (along with the little connectors and the all important plastic vice type thing - to attach the track to a table/shelf)
All the tricky bits are abandoned or lost in favour of a simple straight orange track attached to a low table with or without jumps or bumps (usually a book or a cushion strategically placed underneath)
My two are 3 & 5 now and a big box of hot wheels cars and bendy orange track still keeps them happy for hours. By far our most used toy.
You can get small packs of just the orange track in Asda for about £2.50 (I think it's about six connecting pieces)
These don't come with the vice type thing though.
Best get a simple track with a vice type thing and maybe a pack or two of spare track from Asda- other places probably have this too, I just see it alot in there as my boys are forever loitering in the toy aisle! Hotwheel mad.
I'll try to link what I'm on about if I can!

DaisyFlowerChain · 25/10/2014 08:12

IHeart, Tesco had a pencil case with cars on and Home a Bargains do a good selection too. Just bought lots of pens for DS from both.

BuffyFairy · 25/10/2014 08:15

Boughttoomuch that's really lovely of you. I PM'd IAmAPaleontologist so hopefully she'll get in contact. Smile

spaghettiarms1 · 25/10/2014 08:21

IHeart

This is the kind of thing I mean and contains all important vice type thing!
