Not an alternative but some outlets sell Yankee Candles much cheaper - McArthur Glen type places.

TKMaxx are fab for 'posh' candles and reed diffusers at bargain prices Smile

Home sense is great as well. I love buying bargainous candles from there and Tk maxx.

Home bargains have some small look-a-like ones for 49p! I got one which smells just like the fireside treats one that I'd smelt in Clintons a couple of hours before.

Hang around in Home Bargains long enough and you will find some!

Honestly I love the idea of Yankee candles as they look the part but I find they smell awful! I went the Yankee shop nearby recently intent in buying a few but just couldn't as none of the Xmas ones are that nice IMO. I really recommend the M&S cinnamon candles they smell the best I've tried and are 3 for 2.

Mandarin and clove - not cinnamon

Sainsbury's have some quite nice wintery ones at the moment, I love the Christmas tree one.
