Currently, he is tucked away in the freezer. My family tradition dictates it needs a name, so any suggestions greatly appreciated. Oh, and it will take 60 hours apparently to defrost, so if some one can remind me closer the the time, that would be fab Grin

For a minute there I thought you had bought a live goose to fatten up for Christmas. Now I don't know if im relieved or disappointed! Grin

There's a goose at the farm near us called Basil! We always bring him a tomato to eat, he loves them!

Rockinghorse123 · 20/10/2014 21:48

Sorry posted too soon. For names I like Guliver the goose, or maybe Lucy the goosey Grin

bigjimsdiamondmine · 20/10/2014 21:50

I really thought you meant a live one too. Glad its dead (for some reason Confused ) don't get my own logic there. Not sure about a name though.

My turkeys are often called Esmerelda. Or Horace if I think that they look like they were boy turkeys... Clementine and Eglantine also work well. Grin

glad to know I am not the only one that names her christmas lunch

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 22:11

wibblyjelly · 20/10/2014 22:18

Is it just me who couldn't eat something once it had a name?

backinthebox · 20/10/2014 22:36

I had a guard goose called Christmas once. It was hand-raised by DS. Couldn't bring ourselves to eat it, even when it turned really nasty, so we sold it as a goosey-rottweiler. The other 3 geese are still with us and rather less pecky!

That's a nice, dignified, goosey name Grin
