Anyone have experience with voice changers?

I gave my DS a sound machine for his stocking last year and he and his friends have had a surprising amount of fun with it (can't recommend it enough for any child between 5 and 10, seems to appeal to everyone!). I am looking now for a simple but fun gimmicky sort of thing that might meet with similar success, and thought that a voice changer might be it!

Something like this:
www.amazon.co.uk/Voice-Changer-Megaphone-flashing-lights/dp/B001CM1K6S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413807383&sr=8-1&keywords=voice+changer

or like this:
www.amazon.co.uk/Yada-Voice-Recorder-colours-vary/dp/B001CDFDOW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1413807383&sr=8-3&keywords=voice+changer

Does anyone have experience of either of these, or of something in the same realm that might appeal to a 9yo?

My dd's got these a couple Christmas's ago, they had a lot of fun with them for a few days and then they got forgotten about Sad.

DS had a dalek one that was quite good and provided some amusement.
Don't forget the classic whoopee cushion for cheap repeatable laughs.

We got the yada one from Argos last year as a stocking filler

DDs age 6 and 3 absolutely love it and still regularly play with it / try and scare their parents ;-)

i definitely recommend

Mum2Pea, good to hear it's still a success! Leaning towards the yada one then.

The yada is still a hit here

Hey there, voice changers is now a thing for major connecting platforms like discord. Where you can change your output voice on the other ends through third-party apps. Here is an article on voice changers - beebom.com/voice-changer-apps-discord/.

These are mainly used for fun, but people are using them for pranks and frauds. So be aware and teach it about as well to your kids.

One of my siblings bought this for me as a joke when I was complaining about endless work zoom calls..

It's been used a surprising amount considering I'm a 40+ professional woman who lives alone!
