toy stables/horses???/ for a 7 year old - Playmobil or Barbie?

dd is a young 7 and she still loves her playmobil.

I would like to get her a stables / horses playset for Chrismas.

I am thinking of (2nd hand as I am on a v tight budget) playmobil

but would wooden stable / Sleich figures or Barbie stuff be better?

Anyone know of any current offers???

Playmobil DD2 still played with her playmobil when she wras 12.

Barbies had long since gone in the bin. Hopeless, un-dressable, un-posable, frizzy haired wastes of space. Also barbie horses are huge.

Sleich figures are pretty, but £££ and they don't do anything (except sit on DDs shelf and collect dust).

If she loves playmobil I wouldn't think twice, but then I love playmobil too and would use any excuse to get more :-). But it does seem to have more longevity than most toys. And she will be able to use it with what she already has.

My niece (then 9yo) asked for and received a playmobil horse stable last christmas. She had some Schleich figures around 5 or 6 but the playmobil has lasted much longer. And my own dd (now 6) gave away her few (unplayed with) Barbies last year, but shows no signs of tiring of playmobil.

YY to playmobil stable 2nd hand - can't be beaten. DD played endlessly with hers, they only went up to the attic this summer (she'll be 13 after xmas)
