Anyone around Milton Keynes this weekend - the new Smyths toy store opens today in the old Comet store (near B&Q, hobbycraft etc).

Lots of characters appearing and things going on today (face painting, candyfloss etc).

£5 off £15+ spend voucher in the MK Citizen - valid for a few days (check in the paper!) and on the back of the page - a 20% off in toys r us in MK, valid for the weekend (ie running scared by the new competition!)

Have just got everything out and worked out what is for who etc and I'm nearly done! Bloody hell! Massive thanks to you all, just need to get for dh (who's a bloody nightmare) and that's about it!

Home Bargains seems to have had lots of new stock since last week. Popcorn makers were £10.99 and a good variety of branded named character stickers sets for 39p as well as art kits for the same price. Nice for those making up hampers.

Jelly bean canes for 79p which is the cheapest I've seen them so far.

I was in the Disney Store in Stratford Westfields yesterday. Ton of Frozen stuff...maybe due to this sign that was up?

I just wanted to pop in and say thank you so much to everyone who posts here. I am teaching 3 days and evenings at my local college this term, DD1 has started school, DH has changed jobs and we are trying to decorate. Life's good but hectic and I was dreading getting organised for xmas but I have picked up loads of great ideas and bargains on here . PIL have just asked whether they can visit next week so hopefully I can pop to Sainsbury sale without DD2 too - thanks for the heads up.

DDs are almost done - just looking for best price on a micro scooter and dora dive and splash mermaid. Was going to get DD2 a Penwizard personalised Peppa book (DD1 has one and DD2 loves it) and I have spotted them on amazon local for £11 including delivery - hope that helps someone as I never seem to spot the good deals before they are posted.
