Does anyone know if / what this year's Christmas movie will be?

Last year we took dc's to see Frozen then out for a meal one weekend in December and had a lovely time.

We'd like to do it again this year but not sure if there will be anything suitable that both a 4 year old girl and 8 year old boy would enjoy Smile

Im honestly not sure. I've not seen hype anywhere about a specific film. I don't think Disney have one out this year. I shall have a gander this evening see what i cna find out

I think Paddington is coming out before Christmas - the trailer looks like it will appeal to all ages

TrisisFour · 14/10/2014 13:57

Like Imperial I've heard that it's Paddington this year...

DD is hoping to be invited to her friend's birthday. They are taking a small group to the cinema to see it on the Monday before Xmas. Smile

I was just about to ask the same question.

The last few years I have taken the DCs to the cinema on Christmas Eve morning to watch whichever festive offering is on that year. Last year was frozen, previous years were nativity 2 and Arthur Christmas. I was just wondering what it might be this year, have tried googling but nothing obvious was coming up. They were previewing Paddington when we were at the cinema over the summer.

Yes I think we will be seeing paddington.

Was hoping for Big Hero Six but I don't think it's out at the right time.

There's Paddington, a new Tinkerbell, new hunger games and nativity 3 which is my main one !

JerseySpud · 14/10/2014 14:10

Oh is there a new tinkerbell out?

JerseySpud · 14/10/2014 14:11

No the tinkerbell film for this year was the pirate fairy, i dont think disney has an offering this year

jamtoast12 · 14/10/2014 14:13

Tinkerbell and the legend of the neverbeast is out in december

MyballsareSandy · 14/10/2014 14:16

Nativity 3 is out at the end of Nov.
Can't wait, loved the other two.

jamtoast12 · 14/10/2014 14:18

The vue are showing nativity 3 from 14 November I'm also excited as they're usually always fab!

jamtoast12 · 14/10/2014 14:21

Oh also a new Annie will be released on Boxing Day, this link shows the releases dates

And Get Santa

There's actually a few movies out!

Monroe · 14/10/2014 14:23

Thanks everyone.

I'm not sure there's any of those they would both like. Tinkerbell and Paddington are a bit young for my (transformers / hobbit loving) 8 year old and nativity 3 too old for DD.

We may still do a visit and split up and I'll sneak off and watch the hunger games

Actually, no, I take that back. I just watched the trailer for Paddington and it looks really good! I'd presumed it was a cartoon but it's not. I think ds would really enjoy it. Thanks again!
