No experience but considered them as keep seeing them everywhere my 7 year old DD asked for the butterfly version which I have bought very cute, have a look on YouTube at the videos of the birds.

I think they might be aimed at around the 7 age mark. Not helpful I know but I have no idea what to get my 7 year old she does not know either! Any ideas?

We had a play with these yesterday in smyths, I have to say they were a bit disappointing, the birds record your voice very badly and the butterflies just flap their wings ( pretty but not that much fun ).

My five yr old got a digibird for her birthday. She and her two year old sister have been playing with it quite a bit. They like whistling at it and making it tweet different tunes - it has a few so it keeps them amused. Not sure how entertaining it would be for older children and it is quite loud so it grates on your ears after a while but I'd class it as a good buy. Dd really wanted one so she could show off her new ability to whistle so the timing was good.

I have bought my DD's them for Xmas and they are 4 and 6.

We bought my niece one for her 4th birthday recently and she loved it.

Choose these over the Digi birds as know the girls will enjoy the voice recording over whistling at it. (which they cant do yet anyway!)
