Me!

Atm ours is decorated for Halloween so that'll have to do. I've actually asked DH if we can keep the Halloween tree and candles up until the 30th November when we put the christmas decs up Grin.

OMG I LOVE your tree. where did you get the witches from?

Love it so inspired.

Early to decorate for Halloween isnt it? I had a thread a while ago and said I was itching to get going and many people said way too early and they were the ones with more than one pumpkin to put out Confused

itching to get box down

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 14/10/2014 13:59

Nic can you post your winterwonderland theme too.

nic013 · 15/10/2014 07:23

Thanks, Haunted Hil. I have them up early for my son's halloween birthday party at the weekend. I put his presents under there as well so hoping they dont get kicked around at the party. The witch on top was bought from a christmas market in prague and the others are just accessorised dolls. I'll definitely post my winter wonderland xSmile

I bought new decorations for the tree last year and can't wait to see them again - light blue and white. So pretty.

Alas, while we were packing up last year the camel from the nativity scene breathed his last, so we will miss him. Or her.

Also I have finally thought of great presents for the teens - so very excited.

SpuffySummers · 15/10/2014 10:16

I start end of October. I swap the light green rug/throws/curtains to red ones and I swap my lamps for twigs with fairy lights. Swap from summer to autumn/winter feels. Haha.

Christmas: big tree in living room. Have tiny windowsills (grrrr) so clear the book case and put candles/snowmen/nativity scene on there. East of India posters in frames on the walls. Kids bedroom has fairy lights and their own tree.

I can't wait. First Christmas in our new house and I am so excited.

Roll on 1st December Grin

BiddyPop · 15/10/2014 11:27

I am getting excited about it, but won't be putting them up until the start of December. And the tree not until mid December as it will be a real one this year (we're staying at home - the fake comes out if we are travelling to our parents).

I need to get a new wreath this year, the fresh one I paid €65 for 4 years ago has done very well (it just dried out in the dark attic, and stayed green, so I literally just rehung it for the past 3 years) but is starting to fade. I will see whether I go back to the florist and fork out again for a fresh one, or have a go at making it myself.

Me!!! I cannot wait, I love Christmas and my tree Grin

katienana · 15/10/2014 14:08

I've been singing Christmas songs as DS lullabye since July.
I cannot wait to see his little face when he clocks the tree! Won't put it up till December 1st but it can't come soon enough :-)
He is only 2 and already asks me to tell him about Santa and if you say what happens at Christmas to him he says 'Santa come presents'. May need to talk a bit more about being kind at Christmas and Baby Jesus etc!

AcheyJakey · 15/10/2014 21:06

Me!! I am SO in the mood. I love love love Christmas and have a new tradition to do with the kids this year and I'm beside myself with excitement!!

HolgerDanske · 15/10/2014 21:14

I'm watching the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special and making Christmas cards Smile Smile Smile

Chottie · 16/10/2014 03:55

I love hearing about everyone's Christmas decorations, it's amazing how many people are celebrating Christmas in a new home this year. :)

Mine's just my old home, that I'm moving back into after three years away .... And with a whole new set of Christmas decorations! For the first time last year I had two trees up .... With two different colour schemes, because they previously matched two different houses! It didn't clash, so I'm doing it again this year!

americantour · 16/10/2014 10:51

I'm looking forward to it. The garlands, the sparkly tree and the candles

I'm also looking forward to the bun fights on 1st December, (and sooner probably Shock) where somebody says they're putting the decs up and wants to know if they're being unreasonable to do it so early Grin

duckbilled · 16/10/2014 20:47

I am watching a dodgy Christmas film on sky and feeling very festive mentally planning how to decorate Wink
