Struggling for cash this year so was thinking of getting my parents and mil&dp joint presents . We did it last year but it was framed portraits of the DCs so that was easy .

So what things do you buy a couple? Real need inspiration Confused

I did a few last year and this. I got a cinema pack for Cineworld - 2x tickets (inc 3D option), voucher for a large popcorn and two drinks, and two little christmas chocolates in a nice box - think it was £20.

Got for my folks, sil and her oh and my aunt and her oh.

This year, ive got them sets from.Boots - Starbucks mugs and coffee/chocolate sets.

Have also done board games in previous years for couples who I think will play them.

Spicery do a great subscription which has gone down very well with the people we've bought it for (and us - we've had it 3 times now).

A bottle of port or spirits with glasses?

I have made hampers of nice food-picking up the odd thing with the weekly shop and put in mugs decorated by kids at pottery painting place. You can often get very cheap 2 people spa days eg dh and I went on one for £12 which was nice to spend afternoon in hot tub/sauna and it included muffin/drink it was off living social.

This year for PIL I'm getting them a picnic hamper full of things that they'll use in their camper van, eg a mini set of weighing scales and some posh wine. For my aunt and uncle, I've got them a bird feeder and a bee house, and some books about endangered species.

If your budget can stretch to 45 then the tassimo coffee machine is on offer for this price. It usually retails for 120 so is a lot more expensive than what you are paying
for.

Usually fairly generic house things, like towel sets, nice hand soap, decorative candles, chocolates/wine, hampers, kitchen linens, nice kitchen utensils, posh tea/coffee sets. I try to avoid anything that affects decor permanently like photo frames or soft furnishings as I'm fussy about my choice in that myself! And also avoid things like 'experiences' because I know it's hard for most couples I know to get time off alone.

mrscake thank you for mentioning the spicery, it will be the perfect present for my DH!

I was going to say cinema vouchers too.

Vouchers towards a meal out or a DIY store like ikea.
