Any ideas for hamper of treats for teenage girls?

We have two teens in the family - one aged 16 and one 14. Am thinking of doing little hampers for them this year for Christmas. Have already got pyjamas for them and will get a LUSH bath bomb. And some sweets or chocolate. Any ideas for anything else?

TIA

I did something along the same lines for my sisters a couple of years ago. Mine had pyjamas, lush gift set, nice mug with hot chocolate/marshmallows, face mask, face wipes, intensive hair conditioning treatment thing and some fluffy socks. You could add a DVD and some sweets?

FelixFelix · 07/10/2014 16:53

Sorry seen you are adding sweets/chocolate!!

My girls like the pamper hampers, bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner, face masks, etc etc

If they are into nails, varnishes, cotton wool, remover, etc etc x

Thank you, they do like nails, I will see what else LUSH does and maybe check Boots for some gift packs which I could split up between them. Socks sound good too! Am trying to remember what kind of things I would have liked at that age...

Bottle of perfume.

A book.

Brush/comb/tangle tweezer.

A diary, or fancy notebook (my 16 year old loves anything from Paperchase).

Hair clips.

Are you near a Home Bargains? They do brilliant little gift packs aimed at (among others) teenaged girls, and putting a couple in a hamper would be lovely, as well as a big saving compared to Boots. Alongside the other bits you've mentioned, they'd make up a really nice hamper.

Guitargirl · 07/10/2014 17:42

Ooo, yes, a trip to Paperchase for nice stationery....we're not that near a home bargains but I could go there one day when the DCs are at school. I think am going to be getting baskets on eBay. Have just been having a look at the lush website. I think I may have to make a budget!

what are they into? A hell of a lot of girls arent going to be into facepacks and false nails particularly

Guitargirl · 07/10/2014 17:57

They are both very sporty, one swims, the other does judo. They do paint their nails but I haven't seen them wearing false ones. I probably won't get face packs as am not sure which ones would suit their skin types.

Of course they aren't, Branleuse, and I wouldn't automatically suggest those things either for a girl you didn't know well, but I'm assuming here that a family member isn't in that position Grin.

redkindof · 07/10/2014 18:03

Some gym gear ? My dd would love that you could find some great deals in tkmax or an exercise DVD if they are sporty ?

Branleuse · 07/10/2014 18:07

id get them something to do with their sports maybe. Encourage the fact that theyre so sporty and have cool hobbies, rather than pushing the normal girl tat that is presumed to be so exciting for them, but are actually just toiletries

chanie44 · 07/10/2014 18:08

Pens, notebooks etc
Funky or novelty socks
A purse (accessorize is a safe bet)
Water bottle
Book

Beastofburden · 07/10/2014 18:11

Scented candles or those aromatherapy room diffusers

Something around baking, pretty cupcake cases, decorations.

Little boxes for keeping teen crap in

Guitargirl · 07/10/2014 18:18

I will add a trip to Muji to the list - thanks for the ideas. I might need to check with their parents if they need anything to do with their sports. They are both very good at their respective sports and they probably have all the kit. But maybe a book about the sports or something, will check amazon.

Cinema vouchers for that dull between Xmas and NYE period.

HolyDrinker · 07/10/2014 19:46

And a couple of scratch cards.

HolyDrinker · 07/10/2014 19:48

And iTunes vouchers will be a hit. Maybe with some new headphones, iPod/phone cases?

TwelveLeggedWalk · 07/10/2014 19:52

If they do a lot of sport then presumably they do a lot of showering in leisure centres etc so posh miniatures of shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/hand cream etc in a nice wash bag?

Lovely flip flops for gym changing rooms?

justhereforchristmas · 08/10/2014 04:52

what about shampoo/conditioner for the swimmer? Chlorine can dry out hair so a nice shampoo designed to add moisture back into hair.

Guitargirl · 08/10/2014 10:49

Thank you everyone, I have ordered t-shirts and bags related to their sports from amazon and I plan on doing a Paperchase, Muji and LUSH shop to add a few bits and pieces.
