Hi, looking for some ideas for my 12 year olds christmas eve hamper. We are only just starting this year so not really sure. Thanks.

First year for us last year, not really a hamper, but a christmas onesie, christmas duvet cover, DGD of the two Nativity films (David Tennant)
Actually, I think I gave them to them on December 1st as there was an advent calendar too so sorry not answered your question!
Would like to do this for my DC too so will watch with interest.

How about things to make such as DIY scented candles, bath bombs, soap. have been looking for stuff for myself. Then it is not just "stuff" but an activity as well.
Will post some of my links in a mo

We do new pjs, dvd, bath bomb, drinks and treats When younger I added lots more but harder as they get older.

DD will be 9, and we are doing what I have done the past few years:

New pjs for DH, DD and I (and I have angry birds slippers to go with AB onsie for DD - I got nice slipper socks for DD and I last year).
Bath bomb each for DD and I - Christmas kiddies lush one for DD and a lovely relaxing adult lush one for me!!
Hot choc on a stick each (DD gets plain milk or a smarties one, DH likes chilli choc orange, and I like it with dark choc and amaretto or throw in a dash of choc liqueur myself) - I don't put in food as we always bake cookies (from scratch - or slice off chunks of a roll I did earlier (in December) in the freezer) on Christmas Eve afternoon for Santa, and a few for ourselves are in that batch!
Our copy of "Twas the night before Christmas" that we got when DD was 1.

At 12, perhaps the book may not be appropriate to start traditions, but an age appropriate book or dvd would be nice, or maybe a board game to do together?

Well, there's the obvious stuff like pjs etc.

I would suggest some 'grown up treats' like
J20 - there is one with glitter in it
Shloer
Chocolate truffles
Posh bath bomb

This year we've got dd 12 1/2 a
Onsie minion monopoly (to share with dss) chocolate, hot chocolate sachets and a bath bomb

Mine (DS will be 15, DD will be 12.6) get Christmas Eve Hampers , Stocking Gifts (which are little , useful things) and their main presents (which are small, few and ££)

Hamper:

PJs
Dressing Gown
An annual
Jar of sweets
Sachet of hot chocolate
Small packet of mini biscuits
Bath Bomb (Lush)

They're not wrapped, but are in a basket or box with cellophane and a ribbon.
Left in front of the fireplace to find after a Christmas Eve Walk.
And yes, the Elves bring them Wink

Marking my place with interest as I'm doing the Christmas Eve hamper for the first time this year, for my two DS's age 9 & 12 Smile
