Advent Calendar for my Dad...

I want to put an advent calendar together for my Dad (60). I've managed to collect lots of samples of perfume etc for the one for my Mum so it hasn't cost me anything - have set myself a challenge to do this for my Dad too, but can't think of what to put in it.

All suggestions gratefully received!

Selection of screws, nuts and bolts, washers etc. my DH would love this let alone my dad!

Lens cloth for glasses if worn?

My dad's a real foodie so if I was making one for him I'd put in things like small bottles of hot sauce, little jars of jam and relish and maybe a pot of saffron or a small truffle (the fungi not chocolate type).
