When to buy presents?

Wot really be able to afford to buy presents til November. Do you think it's best to wait til December in case of any last min sales? Ds1 is sorted bar a couple of little stocking type things as all he wants is wooden railway and thomas friends which I already have. Ds1 just wants video games and dd wants everything she sees and it changes daily. So none of them have their heart set on something that's going to be out of stock. Dd already got frozen dolls, dress etc for her birthday so no worries there!

I tend to spend ages thinking about what I want to buy. Some of the ideas may be quite vague such as something for the bath, clothes, jewellery rather than x brand bubble bath, jumper, purple pendant etc. then I keep my eyes on offers and make my move then.

It's also worthwhile just picking things up when you see offers if you can afford to buy at that point in time.

There do appear to have been a lot of offers/reductions in December over the last few years, so it certainly doesn't hurt to wait especially for more generic stuff.

There will be some reductions just before Xmas, but Sod's law, it won't be anything you want.

I normally try and find the best possible price for the item I want at the time I want it.

Another thing I do is to hang onto the receipts and if the item gets reduced I return it and rebuy it at the lower price.
