Ideas for Friend who Loves Travelling

I'm stuck on a gift idea for my closest friend. Her main passion is travelling, mostly places like the US. In the past I've bought her a nice passport cover, money pouch, and a travel journal, all of which she's loved. Any more ideas? Her birthday is in January so I need something for then, too!

How about this map so she has a visual record of where she's been?

I have bought a couple of scratch maps from Ali express, they haven't arrived yet but are large and go in a tube. They were less than £5 each and I'm hoping look good for Christmas gifts for friends who like to travel.

I made a box of all the little things she might need in an emergency for my friend. Silly things like English tea bags, emergency £5 as well as plasters (with pictures on), chocolate etc. it was a travel survival kit, she loved it! I labelled all the different sections so as she ran out she could refill them.

Depending on what kind of traveller she is, maybe a practical washbag such as this:

Ikea have this huge fabric world map which goes on the world, she could add different coloured pins and threads to it for where she's been, where's she's going and where she wants to visit.

On her next trip book her into the airport lounge outbound and inbound? Or gift her an experience which she can do whilst there.. Eg, white water rafter in the Rockies, visiting Yellowstone etc etc.

Or a go pro camera (but that's a bit pricy so you have to really lover her) Hahaa.

A friend of mine travels loads for work and I gave her a really nice, capacious, multi-pocketed sponge bag for all her soap, make-up, deodorant, plasters etc etc etc.

It went down very well and has been much used.

Just had another thought. I got my SIL a travel alarm clock one year, the type that rolls into a little leather case. Might be a bit out of date with mobile phone alarms though...

Cath Kidston does nice travel wallets. I have one, it has lots of slots to place cards, travel money, tickets, insurance docs etc. Aspinalls does a nicer one but much more ££££££

Depends on your budget but joint for xmas and birthday a kindle? Or a lovely beckersongrand large scarf to use to look stylish or to keep cosy on plane (the wool ones - had some offers on Asos).

or Emma Bridgewater's travel wallet is nice.
