Frozen toys and dolls

I know it's been done to death but I would like to get dd something Frozen related this year. She's 7.5 and loves the film like most girls her age.

What would you recommend? She'd probably like most things especially the dolls. Do the Disney store still have stock? What about other suppliers, Argos etc?

Is it better to go for the barbie sized dolls or the bigger soft versions?

Our toys r us had some frozen dolls last week, Barbie type ones and chunkier toddler ones. Only thing stopping me getting the Barbie type ones is the arguments between dd1 and dd2 over who gets which one.

eBay have personalised frozen drawstring bags which I'm getting my almost 7yo dd1.

H&M have got Elsa and Anna long sleeve tops.

Tesco had a load of the barbie sized dolls in stock today plus some soft toys ones of the snowman and reindeer.

Shoe zone have lilac frozen rucksacks reduced.

B&M had lots of Frozen stuff last week - lunch boxes, fleece blanket, cushion, memory game, stamper set, colour your own bag, framed poster, etc.

Disney Store are releasing their autumn Frozen collection in 2 weeks. Asda apparently has a lot of things in or you could try aliexpress.
The hype is dying down so you won't have a problem getting something before Christmas.
As for which type that really depends on what your daughter likes, Barbie type dolls tend to be available in more places than the soft dolls.

Fern do you really believe the hype is dying down? I'm a big disney fanatic and from what I can see it's as rife as ever lol, there are comments all day every day on the FB disney store page alone begging for stock, I think it will be a nightmare depending on what you're after! That being said, smyths toys has a reasonable amount of stock, such as the ice skating dolls, elsa toddler doll etc.

Have a look on the threads in the Christmas topic, lots of frozen bargains on there

Dancergirl · 16/09/2014 09:32

Thanks all. I've just seen the Barbie style dolls on Amazon, wondering whether to get those while they're still available.

not a bargain as such but a lovely personalised book

Also, you need to explore Aliexpress - see the Christmas bargain threads.

Alma I'm one of the culprits on that page demanding stock! I've been after the animator dolls for ages for dd fingers crossed I can get them in 2 weeks!

FernArable · 16/09/2014 14:21

Alma I think it is, the fact that you can actually get the dolls and dresses now is a far cry from April when there were fights over the few that were in stock. Supply is definitely catching up with demand. I think it's as popular as ever but all of the dramatic desperation for merchandise seems to be going.

We were at Disneyworld in August and the queue for Anna and Elsa was max an hour long compared to 5+ at the beginning of the year and there was plenty of Frozen merch, again a massive contrast to earlier in the year.
