I actually have an 8,9,10 and 12 year old boys to buy for! Does anyone have any ideas?
I am kind of stumped, (nephews and best friends sons budget 10-20 pounds I suppose)
I would like to try and avoid vouchers (apple, cinema etc etc)

I am struggling to think of anything

thanks

Ds is almost and things I'm considering:

The boys book of adventure
Orchard toys football game
Top trumps European football
Shrinkles football game bumper pack
Decent walkie talkies
Powerball

Sorry phone playing up so can't do links but all on amazon I think

Brainbox games £10
Bop It Tetris £8 (Amazon)
Guinness Book of Records 2015 £8 (Amazon)

I buy for this age range.

This remote control helicopter for £12-14 would work for all those ages. I bought it for DS when he was 9 and gave it to my 12 yo DN last year and he loved it. It's really good and spares are easy to come by if you accidentally fly it into a lampshade. There are different colours and you can fly two at the same time so can be given to two brothers. DS and DN had a great time flying them together.

You can get these walkie talkies for £20. That's what I'm getting for DS this year and the recipient of last year's helicopter. Just remember the batteries too, which takes it over budget.

And just to prove I don't work for Amazon, this giant solar airship for £11 is on my list to buy this year.

My nephew is 9 and really difficult to buy for. We quite likes stuff that can be built eg meccano and Lego.

Hadmeathello · 14/09/2014 18:45

Minecraft paper craft.

that solar airship looks amazing!!
Great suggestions so far, and I second Brainbox games. I got one for £7 or £8 on Tesco Direct recently.

my 8 yo is asking for a crystal growing kit.

I have another idea. Grin

I'd ordered this Big Bubbles kit for a birthday party which has just arrived today. It looks really good and I'm going to get a couple more for Christmas presents for an 8yo and 10yo. To bump the price up to budget, I'm going to buy a bucket and put the book, Fairy liquid, some cornflour and baking powder in it (all wrapped up). Then they have everything they need to make giant bubbles straightaway. I'll bet it's the only bucket they ever get for Christmas. Grin

DS(10) had a remote control helicopter last Christmas, he absolutely loved it.

Ive got three family members of this age group and ive bought them all Astronaut food. I wouldnt usually buy food for a tween but figured its something a bit unique that they may enjoy trying.

Clarinet9 · 15/09/2014 13:51

Ohh do you have a place for the astronaut food
You have reminded me I wanted some last year but couldn't get it anywhere
thanks
