Balls. No idea why those links do t work. They were mostly Sodial products, go on amazon and type in Sodial Wooden, some great stocking fillers.

Great Sylvanian families bargains on Amazon atm - sorry if already been mentioned

AuntieMaggie · 14/09/2014 20:23

Seeing this thread in active convos got me excited :) I still have rhianna perfume from last year!

This year is going to be a low key Xmas due to having less money as I'm on maternity leave so bargains will be ultra important and it will be the first Xmas without mil

For those looking for bedding I got a xmas duvet set last year in primark and it is so soft we've been using it all year Blush I think it was approx £20 for a king size set. Also ikea have some nice chenille throws for £5.

NorksEnormous · 14/09/2014 20:37

Has anyone got the elc bramble dale farm?

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/09/2014 20:43

Norks, My LO is nearly 3 and I have got some Sylvanian families for me her. Just keeping the really small parts in a box until she is a bit older.

Norks Bramble farm is gorgeous! We got it for DS last Christmas and he's just about 2 1/2 now and plays really nicely and intricately with it for a long time independently!

For balance bikes, try NCT nearly new sales (you don't have to be a member to get in!). I bought ours there for £15 and the same one was on Amazon for £55 Shock

KEGirlOnFire · 14/09/2014 21:26

Can anyone link to the bargainous playmobil nativity or have I missed it? I can only find it for £28 on amazon...

iloveholidays · 14/09/2014 21:28

KEGirlOnFire · 14/09/2014 21:37

RubyFlint · 14/09/2014 21:37

Also for balance bikes wait for Tesco to do their next clubcard boost. We got one last year for about £15 in the end!

admiralclingus · 14/09/2014 21:41

Have just found this Elsa dress on aliexpress for a bargain £3.81, has verybgood reviews

admiralclingus · 14/09/2014 21:46

And if anyone would like £5 off a £10 spend at findmeagift.com, pm me as I won't be using it before the expiry on the 21st Smile

NorksEnormous · 14/09/2014 21:49

So I wouldn't be crazy to buy my 2 year old sylvanians then? she likes little figures so she would probably love them!

Thanks for the bramble dale farm information, its between that one and the rosebud village farm, but I think the brambledale one looks much nicer!

KnackeredMuchly · 14/09/2014 21:52

Had a couple of people PM ask if I still have the £5 voucher for Etsy left. As far as I know I can invite as many people as I like. Will try and wait a day incase I can add everyone once.

The Playmobile Nativity Set is here

Quiche the Decathlon balance bike is good value at £40 even though it is not on sale if you can get to a shop and avoid paying postage. It is also available in blue and pink versions.

Badvoc - if you can get to costco then their wrapping paper is the best. It's a massive roll - costs about £7 but lasts forever, is double sided so you get two patterns for the price of one and is really good quality. I reckon it's well over 50m long (unfortunately it's american so they give the area in yardage rather than the length in metres as wrap is usually sold by over here for easy comparison). I can remember thinking that it cost less than 14p a metre - which is really cheap when you compare to most of the wrapping paper out there, even on offer. The only stuff that was cheaper was the ultra basic Asda and Tesco stuff that came in about 10p a metre and was really cheap quality - so this stuff at 14p a metre for really nice quality is definitely a steal.

I've had mine for 4 christmases and it's not even down to half way yet - including a couple of christmases where I gave everyone (dh has 5 siblings!) big tins of panettone (costco again -about a fiver instead of £20 for the identical thing in John lewis!) so big things to wrap.

The only thing wrong with it is that it lasts soooo long - I got another roll last year in a completely different colour way, just for a change - now I can alternate! But it's going to last me for years to come yet Grin

Badvoc123 · 14/09/2014 22:19

I can also do test invites if anyone would like me too Smile
Thanks for the Costco tip

Badvoc123 · 14/09/2014 22:20

Etsy invites that should have read!!

LalyRawr · 14/09/2014 22:21

Tesco are doing 2 for £15 & 2 for £30 on toys.

Saw some Melissa & Doug doll house furniture in the 2 for £30.

BuddyKringleberry · 14/09/2014 22:33

I saw a fair few balance bikes on the TK Maxx website tonight, in both the toy and clearance section. I didn't notice the prices though as we have one already.

I did get a TMNT pillow pet for £12.99 (around £25 elsewhere and hard to come by) and two lovely Marc Jacobs gold pouches for £19.99 each. Ideal gifts for Christmas x
