For those who love magpie, my local tkmaxx and homesense has had their stuff in stock last 3 weeks. I bought 4 sets of plates for 5 pounds (20 on their website), packet of 2 tea towels for 3 pounds, apron for 3 pounds. The large oval tins (3 of them stacked) were 7 quid instead of 20 on the website. Also had 4 egg cups for about a fiver.

They had designs from pondlife, chirpy and (my fave) abode ranges.

One thing I can say about Very - I ordered a toy at about this time last year. I put it away for a january birthday. It didnt work when we gave it to ds. I phoned them and explained andconce I had sent it back - free- they refunded the money into my Very account. I was impressed- especially with the converse I then bought for myself

Tiredoftiredness · 18/09/2014 22:36

Not very Christmassy but I've just bought a Christmas party dress so I'm counting it ... 15% off + free delivery at boden with MRVS

weebarra · 18/09/2014 22:39

Izzy - this thread was a lifesaver for me when I was going through chemo last year! Great pressies, no entering shops! Get well soon x

IAlreadyToldYou · 18/09/2014 22:47

admiral, how much was your Merida doll? They had them in Home Bargains last week for £6 if I remember correctly. This was the barbie size doll.

chicaguapa · 18/09/2014 23:00

If, like me, you've been into Costco recently and seen the popcorn maker in there, there's one on Amazon for £49.95 which has better reviews. It's normally £89.95 (confirmed by camelcamelcamel) so it's at an all-time low at the moment. I've ordered one for a joint Christmas present for me & DH the DC.

does anyone know when the argos 3 for 2 is on?

daddykyller · 18/09/2014 23:56

Disney Frozen Fleece Blanket £8.98 delivered on amazon

Also another great looking watch: Women's Geneva Silicone Band Jelly Gel Quartz Wrist Watch Pink £1.99 with delivery.

Just tried a search and there are more watch bargains actually, in various colours- and similar prices. Starting at £1.33 Search Results

And on ebay the Fisher-Price Apptivity Monkey is now £13.99 (60% off) at the argos outlet on there.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 19/09/2014 00:02

Thanks for the well wishes :) weebarra hope the chemo went well for you and you're doing better. I didn't have anything life threatening done but 4 major gyn surgeries in one. Not pleasant!

waithorse · 19/09/2014 00:06

Does anyone know if asda or anyone else, ever do offers on photo jigsaws ? Thinking about getting the dc a jigsaw with their photo on. Grin

MooseyMoo · 19/09/2014 06:53

On Zulily today they have some Frozen style dresses if anyone still needs one. They are £19:99 so not bargainous but might help someone.

Quite a few monster high dolls reduced amazon

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 19/09/2014 08:43

What are people getting for dads and partners? I'm pretty sorted with kids and would have been sorted for dh but he's only gone and got a birthday soon Hmm so having to use my tassimo for that instead of Christmas. Thanks a lot dh.

306235388 · 19/09/2014 08:47

Showme I'm getting dh a laptop Bag, a stone roses t shirt and probably tickets for a comedian or something.

Dh, Ds, MiL and my best friend all have birthdays the same week as Christmas. So inconsiderate.

Gatekeeper · 19/09/2014 09:27

anyone any ideas what to get a 12 year old girl who is into anime? I never have trouble buying for her but as she is getting older it is harder. Cheers

Elvish · 19/09/2014 09:29

TrisisFour the Argos 342 will be all toys, so the only things that get excluded and confuse people are things like tablets etc that could be considered electricals. You should be fine for playmobile if they are in stock.

Argos offers change on Wednesday so if you use the reservation service on Tuesday and collect on Wednesday you will get the current price not the price you reserved at.

admiralclingus · 19/09/2014 09:31

Ialreadytoldyou, she was the full price at £12 from the Disney store. Its the one with posable limbs and a sparkly dress. Only one arm is not poseable Angry typical that home bargains have them cuz I can't get to one!

Gatekeeper · 19/09/2014 09:43
