Quick question about freezing mince pies to bake

Do I make them up, freeze uncooked and then bake from frozen? Or defrost to bake?

And, if they're best baked from frozen, how long ish for?

I'd freeze them uncooked, in the tray. When frozen knock them out and keep in ziplock bags to save freezer space.

When you want to bake them, pop them back in the tin and cook from frozen. I'm not sure how long they'd take though.. Perhaps 5-8 minutes longer than normal, you'd have to just keep an eye on the first batch but you could always test a few between now and xmas?

Testing some in between is a good plan...I have two jars of mincemeat in the cupboard so may make some up this afternoon for experimentation Grin
