KnackeredMuchly · 06/09/2014 07:49

I have that rainbow washi tape, I bought it to make thesewww.mummyalarm.co.uk/2014/08/washi-tape-cutlery-easy-washi-tape-craft/

I also used it on a big photo montage.

It's not very sticky, and has curled at the ends, but it is a very pretty pastel colour

Ainmnua · 06/09/2014 08:16

Thanks Gerrard and Muchly

Not Christmassy really but the aforementioned Maps book is my go-to Christening/Naming Day present with a copy of 'the places you'll go' and a globe if it's a close friend. Paperchase do a 'world is your oyster' naming day card too.

I am going to do that ikea jar of layered sweets idea for ds2 (ds1 doesn't like sweets)
Anyone know when ikea gets the Xmas stuff in?
I am guessing beginning of oct?
I am hoping not to have a real tree this year as;
A) we need more decs
B) we have a lovely fake one
I might try and get a few cheap Xmas decs instead of a real tree.

MrsCR · 06/09/2014 08:52

Liberty Christmas shop opens today!!!! Society is catching up with us lot Wink.

Badvoc123 · 06/09/2014 09:36

I am pretty much done for the dc now apart from one or two stocking bits :)
So that means I can concentrate on decorative things for the house and nice food.
Lovely :)
I have been on the ikea website and will get my wrap etc from there. Nice and cheap.
I usually go to John Lewis for my birthday treat (!) on the first weekend in oct and they usually have just put the Xmas stuff out....exciting!

You'remywife I bought two of those too, perfect for the boys' stockings!!!!

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 06/09/2014 11:51

My dd will be 20 months at Christmas. She's probably just above average height. Currently wearing 18-24 month clothes with little room height wise.
Do you think the Asda kitchen would be too big? I started a thread asking for kitchen recommendations for her and all say ikea kitchen which I would have thought too big/high. But I imagine is similar size to the Asda one. Any thoughts?

SpottyTeacakes · 06/09/2014 11:54

We've got an asda wooden kitchen, different to that one, and it's great. Both dc love it (4 and 22 months) and it's lasted really well so far. I think it's two years old. The new one looks great!

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 06/09/2014 12:00

Spotty is your 22 month old tall enough to play at it?

I just keep thinking how disappointing it would be if she couldn't reach

SpottyTeacakes · 06/09/2014 12:10

Yes he is and he wears 9-12 month clothes so isn't exactly on the large side Grin
