Presents for 2year old girl

I am looking for inspiration!!! I have a vague idea of what im getting everyone this year, but have no idea for my goddaughter. She will be 2 on boxing day, so i also need to get her a birthday present.

Budget is about £20 per present, i do want to get her two seperate gifts as well. My mum has a xmas birthday and we have always been discouraged from buying one big gift haha

All ideas welcome as i would like to get her something she will actually play with. I have bought her a lot of clothes etc in the past but she is at a great age for actual toys now! I just have no idea what is 'in'!!

DD was 2 in May and still playing lots with her John Lewis shop till set, and plastic tea set. Aquadoodle are brilliant - from lots of shops / online. And no mess!
Duplo sets - there are quite a few around the £20 mark, big successes are Little Mermaid, number train and the cake set.

Some Happyland sets are around the £20 mark - my dd has got a lot of play value out of the ones she has - she is 2.5 now, and has played with them most days since she was about one.
Orchard Toys do nice board games, and some are suitable from 2.
Is there anything she is really in to, do you know, that you could tap into? For example, my dd is really in to dinosaurs just now, so loves everything to do with them. Obviously don't know how long that will last though - she seems to cycle through different phases with great rapidity at the moment, which I imagine is quite typical of this age group.
Would you feel ok asking the parents for suggestions, or do you want to surprise them too? Most close family and dd's godparents tend to ask us for suggestions for presents for dd at the moment, as although they all see a lot of her they still don't know exactly what she's got and what she hasn't! Obviously I offer a range of suggestions at different prices, and some generic stuff too (ie "and she likes books").

The main thing she is into at the moment is 'in the night garden' and being a 'mummy'. She looks after her baby and puts her to bed at night etc. its really cute to see :) but she already has a lot of doll/cot/pram type stuff.

I will have a look at happyland thanks, also liking the idea of a tea set. Its like a whole other world of shopping!

I do like buying surprises but if i got really stuck i would ask her mum/dad what she would like. I just like to surprise people :)

There is a toy kitchen on group on at the moment for around £20 you could get it for Christmas and then a big box of play food like they sell in toys r us for Boxing Day? My dd got hers for her 2nd birthday and still plays with it every day (she is 6 next week)

Also I bought my two year old a wooden crib and highchair set (really sturdy) from Wilko's earlier this year at around £14 each and couldn't recommend them enough. Just not 100% if they still do them

Has she got the In the Night Garden cuddly toys. You can get lots if not all of the characters, in a range of sizes.

i know she has one night garden doll (daisy?) but not the others. I will probably end up buying her far too much thanks to this thread :)

You could look at Wow Toy sets. They are great, they are very similar to Happyland, and last really well.
I'm no good at links. Ebay is a good place to look. My local toy shop sell it but they're not a chain.
