As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

Thanks all for the input-I've done most of my shopping now-love the joules ebay outlet!

Went to Sainsbury looking for the wooden mixers-none at my local but they had toy irons down to 30p today in 70% off & cupcake set was half price.

From last year the beer52 subscription was a huge hit with hard to please dh. Will have to stop looking at the threads in a couple of weeks or I'll end up overspending agIn.

For whoever was asking about the daily advent calendar presents-I do this but rather than always gifts, we do activities too - things like putting up decs, making cards, watching Christmas films, going to the zoo to say happy Christmas to all the animals & one of the favourites, having a picnic on a blanket under the Christmas tree :)

Would love any other easy activities ideas anyone has, tata!

Just thought I would share invade its helpful for other peeps. It's for recording the great things your kids come out with... here you can see the inside pages on amazon I think...

Advent presents - I do a mixture of gifts and activities. They include socks, making gingerbread, cinema tickets, visit to Father Christmas, film nights, new tree decorations, reindeer food (and a trip to feed them), chocolate coins, £1 coin, Christmas earrings, festive hair slides, costa voucher etc.

A bit different but I'm doing dd1 a beauty samples advent this year...I've been saving up from magazines and things, I've got a good mix, molton brown, Chanel, commes de garçon, benefit etc...I'm going to get Xmas stamps and green and red ink pads, decorate some brown envelopes, number them and clip them to red and white string with multicoloured mini pegs (£1.20 for 100 on amazon)

I think I will put an after eight in each envelope too.

I see your carrot sharpener and your hot dog slicer and give to you a corn stripper - to get kernels off corn on the cobs.

There are actually a number of different models that Amazon have from a couple of pounds up - my two favourites are the donut shaped one and the evil one actually the evril one but I misread it initially

These gadget have just reminded me that my mum and a friend give each other a 'guess what' present each year on christmas eve (see each other at a party) and the families have to guess what it is by new year's eve (when they saw each other at another party). The only given is that it is a kitchen gadget of some sort...

It's been going on for at least 40 years so both have a great collection of weird and wonderful gadgets - some of which were bizarre at the time but are now quite commonplace whereas others are still as bonkers as they were donkey's years ago.

I've just looked on amazon to see if my all-time favourite is there and it is - a square hard boiled egg maker. So for anyone looking for something for somebody who always has anything - try this. I'm betting that (unless they are my mother!) they will not have a square hard boiled egg maker Grin

RJ that sounds amazing... It's inspired me!!

My DD will only be 4 but totally lives for nail varnish and make up (no idea why! I never wear it since her, zero time! Lol) I'm going to do the same but with 'play' make up. So if anyone sees any, please point it out Grin

I bought those duck quackery for party bag fillers Itstilllookslikeraindear, extremely popular with the kids ranging from 3 to 12.

Am wondering if I can get away with getting the carrot pencil sharpener for MIL? It would be very random!

On that note, whole my local branch showed unavailable on all the large items, they were actually all on the shelf when I called in, so worth a peep!

curiousgeorgie my local poundshop has had loads of hello kitty make up in recently - all a pound a piece obviously but sometimes it has been bagged with two or three things in a bag together for a pound which makes it cheaper!

DS is having a sticker craze at the moment, so I'm looking for books or sheets of stickers.

Home Bargains have some Angry Birds Star Wars ones at 39p and The Work had a normal Angry Birds book of 1000 for £1.99.

So I decided to check Amazon and in amongst all the children's stickers was this for £1.00.

I'm just wondering who I dislike enough to give it too Grin There are other, nicer ones though, if you know anybody that likes a piece of wall (or toilet seat) poetry.

evelynj with Christmas activities the book people have a christmas fold and stick christmas decoration book for £4.99 here www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=424253&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&searchTerm=christmas+decorations has great reviews. I got it for me LO this year already Grin

Also I read the imagination tree last year when she did this theimaginationtree.com/2013/11/alternative-elf-on-shelf-tradition-kindness-elf.html not that you need to do the elf part necessarily but I thought the suggestions like donate toys to the hospital or you could give someone lonely/elderly christmas cookies seemed like a really lovely way to celebrate Christmas spirit too.

I'm doing a beauty advent calandar for my Mum. I have loads of samples, some free and others dirt cheap.

Last year, ikea did some small paper advent bags. I'm hoping they do them this year.
