As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

Not sure if this is a bargain or not but I have hopes it might be DS's surprise hit present of Christmas.

The Works had a game version of Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus and he loves that book. All those books actually, they make him laugh. It was £4.99 and looks quite sweet, and DS loves board games of all kinds, so I think it will go down quite well on Christmas day.

I also bought two of those fleecy throws in Primark at £3.90 each, one each for my niece and young cousin. I'm going to put one of the star night lights I ordered with them and I think something to snack on as well, as a kind of "get cosy gift pack" of sorts.

They had some Angry Birds Toppers in Poundworld as well, and I bought three packs as stocking fillers for DS. As well as going on top of pencils you can build bits of them together and use them as play set things. Some of them have mystery birds and pigs in them.

Home Bargains had a Ninja Turtles plastic bin at 99p and I bought one, as a toy bucket for DS's smaller Ninja Turtle bits.

And I bought DS a sticker book from The Works, with 1000 Moshi Monster stickers in them. There are some scenes in the book to use the stickers on and plenty more that you can stick on whatever you like, so I think he will be pleased with that. It was £1.99.

Who was after Minion stuff? There's a seller on Facebook who sells hand-kitted minion hats here and in case that link doesn't work, search for Coney Kids

WannaSplitAPineapple · 28/08/2014 21:38

cheesecake you get different sized drinks for the tassimo. We got tall latte glasses for lattes but they do just about fit In a regular mug. The costa cappuccino only needs a small cup as do the hot chocolates. I'm pretty sure it tells you the size of the drink on the packaging where it tells you the number of pods in the packet.

admiralclingus · 28/08/2014 21:41

Ive found the best place to get the pods from is directly from tassimo, particularly if you want to try the whole variety. Also, when you register your machine they send you an email for two lots of £10 off vouchers.

I've just bought 32 Costa Americano, 8 creme brulee, 8 normal chai latte, 16 monarch and 16 twinnings breakfast tea for £21

Avoid the chai lemongrass at all costs, its revolting!

Each pod has a barcode on it which the machine uses to determine froth level (I've noticed most of the coffees come out frothy though) and some wise mumsnetters told me to use normal milk heasted in the microwave instead of the creamer poods because they taste disgusting!

Tesco have the twinings tea for £3 instead of £3.99 a pack at the moment and asda have the kenco Columbian on offer for £3 too.

The Oreo hot chocolate disappointed me a bit :(

admiralclingus · 28/08/2014 21:46

builders just spotted your dh likes the lemongrass... I have some I will never use if you'd like me to pack them up and send you them?

Neeko · 28/08/2014 21:49

Asda have a lot of their back to school stationery reduced (in Scotland at least). Packs of highlighters at 25p, nice pens and triangular shaped pencils at 65p and Disney princess palace pets colour wonder at £1.25. The same colour wonder is on sale on Amazon for £6.71!

Hello kitty alike jewellery set for £1.03 delivered, nice little stocking filler.

mum2jakie · 28/08/2014 21:56

Amazon have the lovely Chocolate Luxe flavoured Baileys for just £10 per bottle delivered.

www.amazon.co.uk/Baileys-Chocolat-Luxe-Belgian-Chocolate/dp/B00F0SJRG0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409259270&sr=8-1&keywords=baileys+chocolate

They are the same price in Waitrose, £15 everywhere else but this has saved me the hassle of making a special trip!

Wait4nothing · 28/08/2014 22:08

I would also say I was a little disappointed at the Oreo hot chocolate. Favourites here are milka and suchards.
I drink the lattes - costa ones are big and need a large mug but there are normal sized ones in the other brands. DH drinks espresso and other strong coffees and adds milk. We got 4 espresso cups and saucers from aldi last year for under £2.

RubyFlint · 28/08/2014 22:42

Baaaa baaaa thank you Thanks for the Tassimo link! Just bought one for PIL and now I'm twitching... thinking I probably need to get one for myself. BUT my kitchen is small and space is all taken up with other kitchen finery, so what to do? Scared I will miss out if I don't but maybe it's just the thrill of the chase... Aghhhh

iloveholidays · 28/08/2014 22:51

Sorry, another Tassimo question... Does anyone know how long the use by dates are on the pods? Not sure whether to buy any now from Tesco or wait until nearer Christmas.

Thanks

admiralclingus · 28/08/2014 22:51

I love scroll about halfway down it gives you the dimensions Smile

BuddyKringleberry · 28/08/2014 22:54

I hate it when that happens! Thanks for the heads up, I've gone to quidco but when the link from quidco takes me to the tassimo website, I can't find the model!! I'm confused Hmm x

admiralclingus · 28/08/2014 22:55

I think they last a while unopened but when you break the foil its 6 weeks according to the website.

Theres lots of FAQs on that link that I found really helpful when I had mine not long ago!

deepblue · 28/08/2014 23:00

'Hearmuff' headphone and earmuff combo at Amazon starting from £6.50 with reasonable reviews. Some nice colourful designs for not much more if you search Kitsound earmuffs.

admiralclingus · 28/08/2014 23:01

You can "upcycle" the used pods through this website so they don't end up in landfil
